R-52 O-45

That’s been troubling me as well. It’s not because of the old saw about Republicans not winning without Ohio, but the number of electoral votes. Romney could experience what Gore experienced in 2000 - winning the popular vote and losing the presidency.
I can’t find the link to 52 - 45. Is it on this page?
That’s hilarious! Thanks.
“...is on bathsalts.”
P-Dogg, you crazy bastard! :)
I look for something more dire. They’ll try a smear something like Romney had an orgy with girl scouts in the Mormon temple. Romney and church friends smashed puppies and kittens with sledgehammers for fun. Romney’s ancestors were directly involved with the massacre of Christian pioneers in the 1850s. Nothing is beneath them.
You don’t have to believe the polls to use them to demoralize the other side (much the same way they used it against Mitt supporters)

Did that "SOB" really say that?
LOL
Obama is the empty binder
“You know that sound you hear as you are in the car of a roller coaster as it is ACCENDING?... Tick, tick, tick!!!”
Tick tick tick tick, click....
Oh $hit!!!
Then the fun begins :)
“The Coming Obama Landslide” by Michael Tomasky:
Yes, I am serious.
ONLY the votes of the Electoral College matter. Even if Romney got 99% (unlikely, of course) of the vote in the states that are currently solid or leaning toward him, and the majority of votes overall, it wouldn’t increase his total in the Electoral College by one bit and Obama could still win.
Right now the only votes that count are ones in the “swing” states. Romney must win enough of them get their Electoral College votes and put himself over the top. Some of them are falling into line (NC, VA, etc.) but Ohio seems to the keystone to this group of votes, and, right now, Obama seems to be tied or leading there.
It’s not about believing the polls when they are “for” us. It’s about using them to depress Obama’s base when they are “for” us. That’s all this is good for but every little bit helps
She actually did, yes. It appears she meant “among women” but omitted that part. Also, it was Quinnipiac, so not exactly reliable numbers in the first place.
I still think Rasmussen is the “gold standard”, but regardless of the models being used, the trend is the more important thing anyway, and the trend is certainly moving strongly one way in all of these polls.
State polls lag by a week or more.
Again, if Romney is up 5 or more nationally, he will win 300+ electoral votes.
On a positive note, the NPV (National Popular Vote) types who want CA, NY and IL to elect our presidents when Dems have the polling advantage have gone into deep seclusion since their battlefield conversion to the Book of Common Electoral College Prayer.
This looks encouraging, but there are too many variables.
Laz is right. Turnout is key. We need to vote. My take? People will vote their pocketbooks, and Obama will lose on this alone. I hope....
Just vote.
