Megyn Kelly Focus Group Explodes Over Candy Crowley’s Debate Moderation
Mediaite ^ | 10/17/12 | Noah Rothman

A focus group of media professionals convened by Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly burst into a heated yelling match on Wednesday during a discussion of CNN anchor Candy Crowley’s performance as the moderator of the second presidential debate.

Several of the Republican focus group participants said that they believed Crowley’s fact checking was inappropriate, both because she was supposed to be the impartial moderator and because the fact that she checked was debatable.

Media writer and entrepreneur Carol Roth said that it was “clear that she was the third debater” during the town hall-style debate. “If we wanted somebody who was a surrogate or somebody who was a pundit, they should have clearly said this was her role,” said Roth. “But her role was to moderate, and she didn’t do that in an effective way.”

Democratic pollster Bernard Whitman disagreed, however, saying that Crowley was an exemplary moderator and “did a great job pushing back against a bully” in Mitt Romney. “It’s sort of amazing that in the face of a relatively poor performance by Romney, all we are talking about is the moderator Candy Crowley.”

Kenny made that very point in an above post.

How could that just happen out of thin air?

I agree. How did Obama KNOW she had the transcript? Did he send it to her? Looks like they put their heads together before the debate. He probably even highlighted it for her.

Also, just say in his own little mind Obama really did think he called it terrorism...why then did he and his minions go out and say the embassy attack was the result of a spontaneous protest....
Evil liars all....

Whatta maroon! It's not the Moderator's job to 'push back', that's the function of the debate opponent.

Absolutely Orchestrated.

The Administration’s fall back position into plausible deniability, if they have to go there, is that they though this would come up and merely gave Candy the transcript to make sure she knew ‘the truth,’ because they knew Romney would lie about it.

It doesn’t matter - I would attribute at least 2 or 3 points in the polls to voters finally seeing evidence of the lying that goes on in this administration.

Essentially, Romney has been acting as, other than Fox, the single unbiased media source in the nation.

No doubt in my mind that Obama knew that Candy had the
transcript because he or a lackie gave it to her before
the debate. Before the next debate THIS STUFF NEEDS TO BE
ADDRESSED BY THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN because it will come up
again.

It says a lot for Romney that even with all the scheming and conspiring by Obama and CNN, he still came out on top.

I am gaining more respect for him by the second. I hope he will be our next president and Obama will become a forgotten footnote.... after he and Holder and gang are prosecuted, stripped of their ill gotten gains and imprisoned for life....

Mitt Romney’s team should demand a copy of all the questions that were submitted.

Candy is the White House correspondent isn’t she? So it should be expected that she know what The Disaster has said.

However, her demonstration of blatant ignorance is the least of the reasons she should be fired. The greater would be that she was NOT ignorant and LIED for The Disaster.

Either way she should hit the pavement.

Liberals unvetted president are being educated by videos (maybe this is the reason Obama HATES videos) such as “Dreams from my Real Father” and “2016 - Obama’s America” and voters are no longer trusting the democrat party or media to provide them with necessary information prior to voting.

Sure. The Romney campaign needs to demand a copy of all
material submitted to Candy by the Obama campaign. In fact,
you have to wonder if there is a rule which covers the
subject of campaigns submitting material to the mod-
erator prior to the debate.

Still, the most important thing the Romney campaign can
do besides prepare for the final debate is to be ready for
some likely intrigue between the Obama campaign and debate
moderator and liberal hack, Bob Sheifer.

Is that why she stuttered and tried to get out of it? Would also expain that stupid remark she made about the words being out of her mouth before she could stop herself since the words were actually pulled out of her mouth by Obama.

Also watch the video. While talking to Romney she quickly eye checks with
Obama.

Not to mention her choice of biased questions on guns, immigration and “women’s issues”.
