Lima, Peru (CNN) -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the buck stops with her when it comes to who is to blame for security ahead of a deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.
"I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha," she added, noting that it is close to the election.
The attack killed Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans at the consulate

This may take some of the heat off Obama, but it doesn’t explain why she refused requests for more security in Benghazi, or why there was no U.S. response during six hours of attack, or why she participated in the “video” excuse to justify the attack.

Absolutely - the diehard Hillary supporters will go ballistic if he is forced to say it out loud and some of them will stay home on election day as a result. Some of those all important women voters maybe?
Bad move by Hillary Clinton, even worse for Obama!!! item#1, you never make this kind of a statement outside of the country. #2, the statement is weak, incomplete, devoid of any meaningful facts and totally CYA in nature. Hillary will get royally roasted tomorrow and Obama/Biden will look like and be the buttheads they both really are.

Romney should say during the debate: “President Harry Truman said “The Buck Stops Here”. I suppose with this adminstration the buck stops with Hillary”.

We are missing the most important part of her statement. The “I take responsibility” is just SOP horse hockey. What she really said that is earthshaking is the final part of her statement, her reference to the “deteriorating situation in the Mid East.” That’s what Romney can nail Obama with.

You are right on!!! The CYA act with the Obamabot media is now in place. But.....the world has changed. there is more to our side then you think, whether it be, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Breitbart, Morris, O’Reily, Greta, tons of blogs, etc. FNC will have its say as well as talk radio. The Obamabots are in panic across the board.
And....if you believe that Romney/Ryan have made great strides since the first debate, that’s good, but.....that was already happening before the 1st debate, as the polling groups could be more in line with reality. We need to attack, attack, attack with everything we have, the country is at stake. We can win this election and save the country for our kids and grandkids and all American kids, yet to come!!!!
