Has anyone else received this survey in the mail in the last month?Allegedly it's from the census bureau and dept of commerce. The form asks very intrusive personal questions such as: "What time do you go to work? What time do you return from work? How much income do you earn?". I had never heard of this survey before so I didn't respond. A stranger showed up at my door and has left a couple of notes asking me to contact him to complete the survey. Get this - this alleged Government worker even contacted my HOA's Management Co and had them get in contact with me to return his call.
Any thoughts or advice at this point is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for this info!
There was another note waiting for me when I returned home today.
I had a self inking stamp made that said the same thing in RED ink.
stamped every question.
[grin]
I threw it away three times, got phone calls twice and a visit from a representative while I was out. I called the Sheriff, who is a personal friend, and told him that they wee stalking me and I would like it to stop. Haven’t been bothered again since.
I wouldn’t even come close to your place - those are some scary-looking frogs there!
LOLOL!
Before you can be legally required to respond, they must be able to legally prove you received it.
Did a cop or certified server deliver it to your door and did they have you sign a form you received it?
Was it delivered in person by a Dept of Commerce, and did they have you sign a form you received it?
Was it delivered certified or registered by the USPS and did they have you sign a form saying you received it?
If you answered no to these questions, toss it in the trash and, when asked, do your best impression of Sgt Schultz....
I know noth-INK!

I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV. I've just been studying it long enough to know the 3 methods of legal delivery, and some crap showing up in your mailbox like a piece of junk-mail AIN'T IT!
Likely doesn’t mean all.
All the socialists need is 50% plus one vote to take office.
We dont open any mail from anyone other than a known acquaintance or someplace that we may owe money to; doctors, utilities, etc. Same goes for answering the landline phone, if it aint a number that I recognize, we dont answer it. Same goes for emails. Lots less irritants that way.
I only answered question 1 on the regular 2010 census form - the number of people at my residence. Then I got a visit from a census worker. Since I happened to be outside doing yard work, I couldn’t ignore him. He was persistent, but polite. Told him that the only answer he would get is the one that I answered on the form. Never heard back from anyone else.
