8th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot ~ Planning Thread
TheMom

Posted on 10/14/2012 2:59:02 PM PDT by TheMom

Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.

The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz – I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.

Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.

Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.

The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.

My thanks to mylife, penelopesire, LuvW, BuckeyeTexan and NYTexan for their help in getting these plans going.

Hard liquor makes me mouthy & contrary & somewhat an @sshole.

I don't believe that for a minute.

Though being in the presence of such an esteemed company would be awesomeness, I will have to pass.

Please note that the preview feature is a bit jacked up. It is showing the old design on some of the products.

Desert eagle is a but of a handful and ammo is expensive.

I would look at an AK 74.
Yer Son sure liked it, and it is pretty cheap to feed currently.

I got that AK 74 VEPR dialed in the other week.
I will bring that to Wimberly.
See what you think.

A couple of thousand round crate of ammo was like $250 last time L looked

The rifles are getting pricey though.

Thanks!
It were TheMom who did the hard part, dealing with Cafe Press.

All I did was cobble together existing material like a blogger.

Regardless, I’m glad y’all like the design!

My husband and I have to work on June 8th. New Braunfels is not too far and we would have loved to come by.

Have you or anyone else on this thread considered joining the Texas Nationalist Movement? They are an all volunteer group working in the Texas legislator to effect peaceful secession. They are not affiliated with the discredited Republic Of Texas people.

I am involved with the Bandera County group. We organize by county and while not yet in all 254 counties, we are trying. There is also a PAC that is working to field candidates to run for the legislature. We do have some support in the Texas house. http://texnat.org/
