The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie - directly contracting the rest of the Obama administration.
By trying to distance her department from the inept and deceptive handling of the Benghazi attack, which left U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American officials dead, Hillary Clinton could help herself politically for a 2016 presidential run.
A dramatic new account by the State Department reveals that Stevens was locked inside a 'safe room' choking to death from diesel-heavy smoke as the building around him burned to the ground.
Alongside him was a security guard, tasked with the impossible choice between staying in the deadly room - or facing the rocket-propelled grenades and machine-guns outside.

No-one saw the ambassador alive again - another agent tried desperately to enter the safe-room, but could not find him anywhere.
The State Department's insistence it never bought the story - expressed by the White House and Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations - that a crude anti-Islam film made in California triggered the attack gives ammunition against Obama both to the Romney campaign and congressional Republicans.
State Department sources have said that Clinton has never forgotten that Rice, who served in her husband Bill's administration, was an early supporter of Obama. Rice has ambitions to take over from Clinton if Obama is re-elected but the Benghazi debacle could scupper her chances.
In a briefing on Tuesday, State Department officials said 'others' in the executive branch concluded initially that the attack was part of a protest against the film, which ridiculed the Prophet Muhammad. That was never the State Department's conclusion, reporters were told.

Yes, that's what I said. They won't be held to account for that though. They already got away with their little un-Constitutional "kinetic action." No one uttered a peep about it. McCain was all for it. It was "bi-partisan" ya know.
I understand. I would wager to say that very little in the Muslim world is secure anymore.
Of course Obama has helped the bad guys by supplying weapons and money.
I myself wonder if all that weaponry used in Benghazi was US supplied. Probably was.
First, I don’t disagree with you. I’ve spent the last couple of days fighting with people here on FR that I don’t really want to fight with.
The big point is the coverup. They want everyone to think they’re covering up because they were incompetent and didn’t have enough security at Benghazi. That’s not it. They withdrew the security to show good faith in dealing with the terrorists who have, or at least claim they have, the missing missiles. Not providing adequate security can be viewed as poor judgement. Withdrawing security to try and cut a deal with terrorists makes them look incredibly naive and stupid. I mean stupid to the point of having to leave their positions. They knew the terrorists were coming. The deal was set up. THEY GOT PLAYED. THEY ARE SUCKERS. That’s why we have the coverup. And that means the end of the Democrat party.

Indeed. I remember on Wednesday’s Senate hearing that one of the senators broached the missile angle to LT COL Wood - “ . . . “ what kind of missiles? how many? Can they be used to down civilian aircraft? Is it a possibility that the weapons are now in the hands of al Qaeda?”

Did no one in the State Dept. or the Administration see the same video I did of the Libyans taking Amb. Stevens out of the building and dragging him in the streets? There was no smoke in the room they pulled him from and reports said he was still alive. This story stinks and is full of lies.
My heart weeps for these brave men who died because of the incompetence of those in office put there to protect them. It’s disgusting and a disgrace.
That happens a lot to me too. I just wanted to clarify that point because I have noticed a number of people do believe that 0blahblah directly gave the militias 10k-20k manpad rockets.

Much was eeked out at that important hearing. The answer on the missiles question brought an estimate from Woods. It was twenty thousand!
The Ambassador’s unarmed trek to Benghazi begs for speculation and even conspiracy theories, but mainly first things first begins with first Hillary rolling the video protest fiction. How can she escape that fact when it directly refutes what was being viewed downstairs at her State Dept.
The Susan Rice microscope is ridiculous. She wad the last of the principals to peddle this fiction, days after Hillary and brack.
I don’t buy a word that comes out of her mouth. Put her under oath and
see how the story changes. Does that mean she won’t lie under oath?
No. But perjury charges await her, if she is caught doing it.

Kathleen Wiley, Anita Broderick, there was another lady- Paula Jones. Were all these ladies lying and Hillary telling the truth? We never found out about Vince Foster.
I’m not so sure if he was raped. Some video would be out on the Internet by now. He’s dead just the same, though. Who took him to the hospital and how did they come to get possession of his body?

When all the lies fail just run the story out and hope that the American people have short memories.
There have to be hundreds of fed up State Department professionals eager to drop leaks to the media. The Dems and the msm will not be able to sit on this one for very long.
Want to bet that Hillary and Obama were reaching out to their Islamic friends to interceed for them with the Lybian terrorists while the attacks were going on.

The article that we’ve all read by now (this post) is strikingly hard to follow and( to me anyway ) sounds like it was written by Hillary herself. If one of my employees would have presented that to me, I would have laughed in their face. It is amateurish, inconcise and even the photographs are ridiculous - in other words, it has the Obama administration written all over it.
Unfortunately, Obama and Clinton are going to be able to run out the clock on this and good luck getting Romney to follow up after January
