The State Department has released a transcript of a briefing that two high-ranking department officials gave to a number of reporters via conference call on October 9 (Tuesday). I am not certain about this, but I believe the transcript was only made public today. You should read it in its entirety; it is the most detailed description I have seen of the events in Benghazi on September 11.
While this is by no means clear, it appears that the State Department may have released the transcript as part of the escalating conflict between Barack Obama and Joe Biden and the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. In their desperation to avoid responsibility for the Benghazi debacle, Obama and Biden have pointed fingers in two directions: at the intelligence community for reporting incorrectly that the incident was a protest over a YouTube video clip, and at the State Department for not providing adequate security for the Ambassador.

I can’t stand Hillary for a lot of reasons, but I always thought she would have been a ‘better’ (i.e. less damaging’) president than Obama. Economically, I still think that’s true ... social issues, she’s of the same ilk, but I figured if we were ever attacked, she’d respond mostly appropriately. After watching the Benghazi debacle .... she didn’t properly defend her own people in State, either before or after the attack. Col Hunt said all she had to do was pick up the phone to Panetta and he would have gotten her assets to help the Americans under attack in Benghazi. Everyone (the hundreds listening at the various command posts including State, Defense, Nat’l Sec Council, etc.) did NOTHING. Especially Hillary - HER people, she did nothing. If she has the unmitigated gall to ever run for President, this should be hung around her neck like a flaming tire necklace .... she cannot be trusted to defend her own people, much less the country. And then, to top it off, she had the @#$!% (words fail me here) to bring up the d@mn video while standing in front of Stevens coffin - Seal Team 6 should have escorted her (and Obama) off the stage and to ‘jail’ for that one . (Small rant, sorry - and no, it didn’t make me feel any better - I am sick and outraged about Benghazi).

There WILL be a big one soon. Don't particularly matter whether RR or OB is in power, the stage was set by Pres Zer0, by showing the jihadists that they probably will suffer no immediate sanctions for killing American diplomats.

I really thisnk this blew up only because CNN recovered our (dead) Libya Ambassador’s diaries which told the truth about how FUBARed his security situation was. His diaries sure accelerated the process of destroying the lies of Hussein and Hillary to get them out front center before the election. The Obama plan was obvious/ to delay and obfuscate Libya disaster to the post election period
I can’t find transcripts, but if I remember correctly, the judge & guest were talking about some key, senior people need to start speaking up ... NOW. I think everyone is hunkered in the bunker, trying to make it past Nov. 6. Somebody needs to put the country first and be a patriot, tell the truth and let the chips fall wherever.

This is the real bull in the china shop issue. This Benghazi thing will pale in comparison to the missing manpads. And Obama and Hillary are to blame for each and every one of those missing manpads. We’re probably going to be forced to pay whopping amounts of taxpayer money to buy back 95% of these missing weapons with the other 5% left to blackmail us for years. That’s if they don’t get used. Oh, and the money we pay them will be used to wage war on us. Be sure to thank your friends and relatives who vote Democrat.
I think there will be retribution, “Clinton style” .... if the national security of the country weren’t being compromised ala Hillary/Obama and if 4 Americans weren’t dead, it would be rather entertaining.
We know the movie story is baloney, but what is the motive for attacking Americans in Benghazi? Lots of Libyans apparently liked the Ambassador. Why kill Americans? It’s the manpads. They (our enemies) were shutting down the search for the manpads. That’s why that facility was attacked. And Obama and Hillary are DIRECTLY responsible for the loss of those weapons. Losing an Ambassador is the least of their worries. What happens to Obama, Hillary and the entire Democrat party if those manpads are used in a terrorist attack and they are traced back to Democrat policies and actions? Obama needs to seriously improve his personal protection. The Democrats got rid of Kennedy for less.
We have boots on the ground everywhere, except Libya. That is the corner the AdminisTration painted itself into. The video was to be their excuse that the assault came out of nowhere.
Was Congress given this briefing or is this more media coordination? I hear FNC wasn’t invited.

I believe Obama was going to make a deal over him.
