With Big Bird out of the picture, the Obama campaign is relying on a new cuddly creature to win over Americans hearts and minds: The First Dog Bo.
Late this afternoon the Obama campaign uploaded a Happy Birthday Bo Obama video to its YouTube that features Barack and Michelle Obama. Ironically not about the First Dogs fourth birthday at all and shows almost the same amount of footage of Barack and Michelle talking as it does the First Dog.
In the heartwarming video the first couple talks about how the first dog generally only listens to the President because he is intimidated by his booming voice and how compassionate the President is for letting Bo climb on the couch.
The video is clearly an attempt to make the First Family look more down to earth and help them connect to the middle class Americans Obama is targeting with his reelection efforts.

She didn't really say that? Might be what they think to themselves, though. Wouldn't doubt it. The "family dog" bit is not believable. People like them just don't come across as animal lovers.
Arf!...I'm Bo and I
endorse Mitt Romney
Poor dog. I expect the Obamas to ditch it after Hussein loses the election.
Since the dog does not have any control of what he looks like and cannot read.... I will say this is the dog a gay couple would buy. Right up there with other limp wristed breeds like a miniture poodle or a Yorkie. I mean go family dog like a Lab or a Goldie, or manly like an Akita, Pit or Chow Chow. WTF is this moptop thing? When will this gay episode of The Jeffersons end?
LOL!
And if that doesn't work, it will be "STUPID DOG! YOU MADE ME LOOK BAD!"
I don’t believe it. The word on the street is that Obama ate BO, with arugula and all of Bo’s crackers, right after the debate.
So this must be some worthless mutt without even papers.
;-)
The key point here is that Bo will have a lot more fun romping around some relatively pristine beach in Hawaii than stuck in Washington, DC surrounded by mobs of stuffed-shirts.
And if Bo talks, he’s liable to end up on the menu.....
Now you know why I have an Akita, hehehe.
Although if gas prices get any higher, I’m gonna have to get a Great Dane to saddle up and ride.....
The dog’s worked harder than his owner.
Romney: Dog on Roof of Car
Obama: Dog on Roof of Mouth
I suspect, if he loses the election, Bo will soon be up for adoption. I don't for a minute believe they are even capable of having genuine love for an animal. Every First Family has-to at least pretend that they have a religious faith AND have a family dog.
