(CNSNews.com) In marking the one year anniversary of Lets Move! in Indian Country, First Lady Michelle Obama praised the work done by Native American and Alaskan American communities in fighting childhood obestiy by, among other things, adding "traditional foods like buffalo meat into school lunches."
A year ago, Mrs. Obama joined Native American children in the White House garden to launch Lets Move in Indian Country by planting the three sisters--corn, beans and squash.
This is such an important issue, Mrs. Obama said in the video marking the one-year anniversary of the program. We know that children in American Indian and Alaskan Native communities experience higher rates of obesity.
We know theyre more likely to develop related diseases like Type II diabetes than the national averages, Mrs. Obama said.
But we also know that there are so many people in these communities who want to make a difference for the health of their kids, Mrs. Obama said. And thats what has defined Lets Move! in Indian Country in our first year.
Weve seen tribal nations develop food policy councils to examine the food habits of their communities, Mrs. Obama said. Schools have reintroduced Lacrosse programs. Native businesses are adding healthy, traditional foods like buffalo meat into school lunches.
The Department of Interior states the goals of the Lets Move! in Indian Country as: Creating a healthy start in life; developing healthy learning; communities increasing physical activities; and increasing access to affordable, healthy and traditional foods
Let's Move! in Indian Country is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams, the Department of Interior website states. This is an ambitious goal. But with your help, we can do it."
Mrs. Obama said there is more left to do. "And that's where all of you come in," she said. "We need your help to get more schools serving healthy foods and finding new ways to get kids to get active."
To think of the fools in this country that enjoy having buffalo shi- shoveled on them by this contemptuous duo is just plain scary!
Listen my friends And you will see, What King Obama Has done to you and me.
On January twentieth Two thousand and nine, He took control We started our decline.
With record unemployment And people forlorn, Our tax money spent Poverty the Norm.

Lets Move ‘em out of the white house in November.....

Maybe Elizabeth Warren can lend them a copy of “Pow Wow Chow”?
Maybe I’m missing something: what IS “Indian Country”? Would that be like saying, in “Italian Country” or in “Polack Country” {sic}, or “African American Country”?
God I loathe her.
Bison meat is WAY more expensive than beef.
This is the Chevy Volt on a plate.
And yes, the lonely confused billionaire Mr Turner is likely profiting from this.
Beans and sasquash, that’s the ticket!
So it’s OK to say “Indian” again.... not the PC “Native American”??
Yuu meant twit. TWAT is a beverage served on commercial aircraft.

Because White Man Know that all Injun eats is Squash, Maize and Buffalo Meat AND NOTHING ELSE!
We still make squaw give birth to little ones in Teepee's before Big Injun Chief goes out to capture more Blonde Haired Squaws.
Where's the Whiskey?!
Michelle Ubama is the worst first lady ever!
The problem with grass feed beef and bison is that it tastes... well - like grass. The grass would have to be highly controlled to insure low weed and alien grass consumption.
One advantage to grass feed is the Omega 3 fatty acids over Omega 6. O3 is better for skin, joint, cardio and mental health. HOWEVER, recent studies show taking Omega 3 as a supplement has no cardio health benefits. It seems to get the benefit you need to eat it in wild fish and grain feed animals. GO figure
Bull Stuff!
She has wonderfully toned arms!
