SAN ANTONIO – A woman has been arrested for allegedly hitting a 10-year-old girl who refused to share ice cream with her daughter.
The older girl began walking home but the mother of the 4 year old, Talysa Herron, approached and hit her in the face. She then followed her home in her car.

Is ANYONE here shocked by the obvious, er, um, “hairstyle” of the perp?
That said, I’d probably be rather P.O.d too if a 10 yr. old slapped my 4 yr. old, so THAT part of the story leaves one wondering.
But I am not surprised the er, um, MOTHER of the 4 yr. old followed the 10 yr old home and beat her mother as well.

These stories are so painful to read. I have many friends and acquaintances who are black and are decent, patriotic, responsible Americans. I am beginning to fear they are a minority among the minority.
What do I say to them when these stories come up? Putting myself in their shoes, I would find it embarrassing, even though I didn’t do it and therefore I should have nothing to be embarrassed about. (Kind of like “white guilt”, isn’t it?)
Reminds me when I was a grad student about 12 years ago. I had a run in with some girl for a parking space. At the university, parking was scarce and it was pretty well ordered to wait with others as parking spaces became available. A few people in front of me got their spaces and it was my turn to get the next space. This girl drove up and laid on her horn and opened her window saying that it was her parking space. I backed in anyway. She started to yell at me that she was entitled to the space and I should vacate it and let her pull in. She also came from a well to do family and had a nice car. I simply told her she can wait her turn like everyone else and there were a couple of others waiting for spaces as well. She also threatened to file a complaint against me and I told her be my guest.
Come to find out, a few years later, she got charged with identity theft. She worked for the city utilities company and attempted to buy herself a Porsche. She was a real winner, NOT !!
I liked him as the car salesman in Transformers.
There is a convenient store near me (upstate NY) and the city has taken to putting up homeless in a run down motel across the street. It’s at the city line, not formerly a very bad neighborhood, though not nice. Anyway, they take to rather aggressive panhandling at the convenient store. One guy, well dressed, walked out with two bags of groceries (read food stamps) and with the groceries in hand started asking me for “fitty cent” while I’m pumping gas.
“Oh, you don’t have fitty cent...???”

The 4 year old tried to redistribute the ice cream she should be in jail too. /s
“Great Society” fixed that problem, real well.
