PPP's newest Wisconsin poll finds a big debate bump for Mitt Romney in the state. Two weeks ago he trailed Barack Obama by 7 points there, 52-45. Now he's pulled to within two points, with Obama's lead now just 49-47.
There's not much doubt it was Romney's strong debate performance on Wednesday night that's given him this boost. Voters think he won the debate by a 61/25 margin, including a 60/19 margin with independents. 95% of Republicans think Romney won the debate, while only 50% of Democrats claim to think Obama was the winner. Romney's image has seen significant improvement over the last couple weeks with 49% of voters now expressing a positive opinion of him to 48% with a negative one. That's up a net 8 points from a 44/51 spread on our last poll.

People are lying to the polls. There are not that many left over stupid people in Wisconsin who would vote for Zer0 again.
This is great, now the battleground states are the ones the Dems thought they had in the bag
PPP’s final poll predicted Walker held nearly a 3 point lead in the recall election. He won by almost 7, and his margin was outside of the PPP statistical margin of error, meaning that there are almost certainly problems with PPP’s methodology. Overall this is very good news.
Like a red-headed stepson.
Pity, the union pockets are empty after trying to throw out Walker and Prosser. And now Ohio is barking at them.
And such pleasant people they were, too.
What I find encouraging is some voters seem to want to see these candidates up close, and 70 million got a good look at what Romney brought to the fight.
Look what Obama was left with the next day... regurgitating the same lies and pledging to support Big Bird. The great lie about the purported greatness of Obama has finally been exposed. He has been reduced considerably.
I live in Wisconsin and I haven’t answered my phone in months if I don’t see a name & number that I recognize on the caller ID.
Also I believe that the people of Wisconsin are sick of elections and the A’holes who have caused us to have nonstop elections for nearly 2 years.
Yep - like Ohio, Wisconsin isn’t yet being depicted accurately. Let’s face it - after Walker being vindicated and retained, Wisconsin has become a bit more sensible.
