Election 2012: Virginia: Romney 49%, Obama 48%

Virginia remains a nail-biter in the first post-debate survey of the key battleground state, with Mitt Romney edging slightly ahead.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Virginia Voters, taken last night, shows Romney earning 49% support to Obama’s 48%. Three percent (3%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Rather odd argument. Every indicator is that dems. are not as excited this time around. The shine is off this clown. That translates into fewer going to the polls. Especially certain demographic groups that are easily discouraged. It takes alot to get them mobilized. It's not happening this time.

You’re probably right. I do my own personal survey of neighborhoods with signs, and cars with bumperstickers in the Northern Virginia area. Not surprisingly, there were quite a few more Obama signs in 2008. Well this year, it’s not even close. Romney signs are everywhere in people’s yards and on their cars. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come for Virginia and the nation.

Even here in Alabama, in 2008 I saw Obama yard signs. This time, I have not seen ONE! Not even ONE!!! Even the old bumper stickers are old and faded. You DO NOT even see new ones. States are going to have to stick up for themselves if Obama wins again. Only if states stick together and tell the feds where to stick it will the people survive this coming carnage.

I actually do believe it. Lefties in NOVA like to view themselves as intellectually superior, and Obama’s making that pretty hard for them to do.

I don’t see the signs and bumper stickers for Obama in NOVA. Not a lot of those for Romney, but more of them. I contrast that with Maryland, where the defiant left is sporting more than a few “Obama 2012” and worse, “I love Obamacare” stickers. You can smell the decay in Maryland and it’s no wonder.

Rick Boucher? You mean the draft dodger and closet smoker? Pole-smoker that is...yes I’ve heard of him and it’s a shame he had anything to do with military policy...or any other type of policy for that matter. America is better off without him..and we’d have been rid of him long ago had they gerrymandered Oliver North into his district. Of course, we could examine why it is North wasn’t gerrymandered into this district, that that has to do with some of Virginia’s half-assed GOP establishment...and this isn’t the place for that.

I’m in the Shenandoah Valley attending a family reunion - lots of folks traveled from “up north” (Indiana, Illinois, etc.). EVERYONE is talking about the debate, EVERYONE is super glad Obama got his @ss handed to him. EVERONE is so fired up, we’re actually thinking about having a Romney rally of our own (sans Mitt, but that’s ok)! The Valley relatives that did attend the rally Thursday were in such traffic it took 4 hours to travel what usually takes 1 hours - the rally was delayed an hour and a half because so many folks were still trying to get there .... folks finally had to be turned away. It was quite a rally & per all accounts, Romney was ‘fired up’!!

Coming up I-81, someone is putting large banners on semi-trailers along the road. My favorite “Four more years ... for what?

Speaking of smoking pot ... did you see the comment from Bill Maher? I got a really good laugh out of this one:

On his “HBO Real Time” show Friday night, Maher joked that Obama must have used Maher’s $1 million donation to an Obama super PAC and “spent it all on weed.”

Uh huh. Obama attempts to lower the downscale white vote. They know Obama has failed and screwed them over, between coal regs, Obamacare and its outcomes of lower household income etc. ... but if they tell them “Romney’s not for you” they will stay home.

Debates will hopefully debunk that whole narrative.
