1) He’s the first person I’ve heard/seen in a public forum unabashedly expound the concept of federalism and pushing anything back down to the states where it belongs to this lunatic marxist yet.

Newt and McPain and Palin and all the others made noise about it outside the ring, but Romney is the point guy who landed the first punch.

2) “c”onservatism according to Kirk/Burke is the veneration of preceding generations. So anyone who comes in and tries to turn the Titanic around on a dime is just going to break the ship or get thrown overboard by the geezers. We’re going to have to honor the amoral commitments that our parents and grandparents committed us to, the same way our kids have to honor the horrific debt we’ve already piled on them. If we default up or down then we become the radical progressives.

There was one who did this time and time again, but was/is called a kook...Ron Paul. But, based on his own record, I accord these words to Mitt as no more than banter. IF he does win the election, I’ll gladly eat crow when actions take place.

Making economic slaves of proceeding generations, just because they bought into the ‘you can have it for free’/Ponzi scheme, is both immoral and unethical.
A) They are not Constitutional (see ‘C’)
b) The programs are bust already (I’ve read to the tune of 100+TRILLION)
C) They were always TAXES 1st and ‘promises’ 2nd
D) There is/was never any guarantee
Cut the losses and free the younger generations; they may actually forgive the old-timers enough to take care of ‘em (as they should)
