In his wrap-up, Øbama said,

"But I also promised that I'd fight every single day on behalf of the American people, the middle class, and all those who were striving to get into the middle class. I've kept that promise and if you'll vote for me, then I promise I'll fight just as hard in a second term."

At that point, Romney should have silently stepped out from behind his podium and -- executed a clumsy golf swing...

I was aware of several more opportunities Romney missed to "hit a homer". What other missed opportunities did the rest of you, my fellow FReepers, see?

I'm sure you did, but you weren't the quarterback at the time.........

The RNC ad should be...

Obama’s close as the audio... over pictures of him playing golf and on screen captioning explaining that he has played over 100 rounds of golf in four years and hasn’t met his jobs council in 6 months.

I thought I heard Obama say something to the effect of “That’s why you have a budget.” Thought Romney should jump on the fact that Obama’s proposed budgets didn’t get a single vote in the Senate, and that Congress has not passed a budget in 3 years under Obama’s leadership.

Romney needs to list the litany of Obama’s 2008 promises that he has yet to fulfill.

GITMO closing [just to inflame Obama’s liberals]

Cutting the deficit in half, but increasing it by $trillions, instead

etc.

Can’t we just be happy that Romney did a good job?

hasn’t met his jobs council in 6 months

Also hadn't, until Libya exploded, sat in most security briefings.

That could be another list -- BHO, AWOL.

Right. That was another item Romney did not point out -- Obama's budgets getting ZERO votes, and the Dems failing to pass their own budgets.

Romney should have said “Yeah, well, the jerk store called, and they’re running out of you!”

True. So much ammo, so little time. Gotta save some for one of the future debates.

Education.

Repubs fall for it every time. It's locally funded and controlled. Taking state tax money, sending it to D.C. only to return less of it to local districts, but with the added bonus of bureaucratic genius programs, is never really a winning issue.

It should be philosophically rejected.

Mitt's argument was more..."I can do it better".

When they were going back and forth, debating “revenues,” Romney should have corrected Obama and that senile guy and said, “Bureacrats call them “revenues,” as if it’s something they earned. The American people call them taxes and they’ve had enough of them.” Or something to that effect.

That’s what Darlin and I kept shouting at the TV: “NO BUDGET FOR 3.5 YEARS!!!”

Well, he could’ve gone over and lifted his leg on Barry’s podium.

That’s the affirmative action modus operandi. It doesn’t matter if you actually accomplish anything, as long as you can get people to believe that you tried real real hard. Or at least keep them from saying you didn’t by throwing the race card. “I ain’t no ways tired”

Exactly!

Good Lord, can't anything just be good?

When the internet finally gets connected directly to our minds, someone will have a Wet Dream Ping List and start a live thread to Zot people in their sleep and ruin the outcome.

Would have been great, since he brought it up, to explain that the Constitution gives NO authority in 99% of the cases and he’d push it all back to the States, where it should be.

Worst I heard out of his mouth were
1) No reduction in taxes
2) Shore up SS/MediC.
3) Pursuit of Happiness = brothers keeper/social net (WTF?)

So yeah, he had the facts, but he could have really gotten everyone behind him for once.
