I spent some time in Denver in a former employment. While I would not have wanted to run a marathon, the mile high air didn't make me stupid!

More important than Obama’s dumb explanation, which was standard fare pablum, was the crowd. These are people watching the air go out of their balloons. Their subdued laughter and cheers on cue and forced smiles are the symptoms of a losing campaign.

You’re absolutely right! It IS Gary Moore - remember Carol Burnett started on his show before she got her own show. I always liked Gary Moore - he was a good host.

Growing up in the fifties, I remember we had so many excellent game shows and variety shows to choose from.

I guess you could categorize American Idol as SORT of a variety show, but not quite.

Thinking about these old shows, being nostalgic about my growing up years, can be bittersweet sometimes!
