And so begins our annual 7th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.

TexasCowboy (aka COB1) was a true Texas gentleman, great friend, patriot, and a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. It is truly an honor to continue a tradition he started many years ago, hosting shoots for FRiends around the great state of Texas.
Many FReepers are coming into town on Thursday so that they can have a tourist day on Friday. Those lucky people are going to be made (a good) miserable Thursday evening by enjoying TheMom’s Kick Ass Enchilada’s.
The only set tourist place is The Lady Lex.
Friday evening we will meet at Captain Benny’s, 103 Fulton Beach Road Fulton, TX 78382, at 8:00 p.m., for a delicious seafood dinner. (They do not take credit cards or serve liquor ~ so remember to bring your cash & booze.)
Saturday morning we meet for breakfast at Alice Faye’s, 910 North Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358, at 8:00 a.m. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at, Schwenke’s Gun & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069 Aransas Pass, TX, 78336. Mr. Schwenke has reserved the 25 yard shooting station for our group to use as “home base”. The only major rule at this range is do not shoot the livestock. A BBQ lunch will be served at 12:30ish.
Once the shooting is done some of us will be going to the Rockport Seafair, while others will go back to the Pelican Bay cottages for some R&R. Saturday evening will be filled with yummy junk food and margaritas!
According to the forecast, it looks as the weather will be perfect. Lows in the mid-sixty’s, highs in the mid-eighty’s.

That would work great! We will be done with wedding and looking for a good place to let lose....lol. Can’t think of a better bunch of folks to let your hair down with than this crew!

It was beyond great meeting you, Chris, and Sheila, darling man! I’m happy that you like the soap, and I’ll bring more, but maybe not quite so much, [giggles] next year.
We did have a wonderful time shooting stuff, and firing everyone’s weapons. Except the Waaaaaoooh! gun that Lazamataz fired (once).
Well, just damn.

June? Dang. I was hoping for cooler weather. 70 - 75 degrees would be ideal. No matter. I’ll be there.
I need to get my pics posted but too tired tonight. Just laying in bed in my jammies freeping on my iPad....lol. Tomorrow it is back on the treadmill to lose the weight I gained eating all that awesome food!! Gonna have to walk miles and miles and miles.....lol.
I might even see, someday, if I can get y'all to come to Georgia and miss a shoot out this way. There's tons of stuff to miss in Georgia, and we don't have any shooting ranges or guns here.
I think there’s even some Class III firearms in Georgia that we can probably miss out on shooting.
Hopefully very good. I have been telling stories and showing him pictures since I got home. He seems very interested. He also likes the idea of having the next shoot in the hill country. Not as long a drive and we both both love the hill country. Maybe we can plan some floating on the guadaloupe or blanco rivers for those interested. It would be great to find some cabins on the river or near the river. I forget which river is near New Braunfels. ??
Also, he went shopping while I was gone and bought some stereo equpiment. He spent way too much money and had way too much fun doing it....lol. I can’t leave the man alone for one minute....lol.
