The conservative, nonprofit watchdog group Cause of Action is suing the Internal Revenue Service for all records related to President Obama's requests for tax returns, after the agency refused a records request.
While tax returns are generally kept confidential by the IRS, U.S. tax law permits the president or White House staff to request any taxpayer's personal financial information.

While tax returns are generally kept confidential by the IRS, U.S. tax law permits the president or White House staff to request any taxpayer's personal financial information. After all, what could go wrong?

I wish I could fill out my tax return in such a way that the White House would see a clear message from me.....

This is nothing. Under 0bamacare, they’ll be able to examine your up-to-the-minute online bank records, see how much money goes in and out, when, where. I suspect it won’t be very limited as to who can access this info.

Using their position to look at others tax records is abusing the office and should not be unpunished.

That is not true. Was disproved some time ago. The section of the law you’re referring to has to do with electronic payments made from an insurance company to a doctor’s office.
Has nothing to do with your personal banking account.
When this rumor first started way back, I went down this road here on FR several times. Sorry, I won’t do it again. Do a Google search.

Thanks. He can look at mine and see that I paid far more as a percentage than he or his court jester (Biden) did.
