NH Poll: Obama opens up 15 point lead

"President Barack Obama has opened a lead over Mitt Romney in New Hampshire. Independent voters who had been supporting Romney have swung to Obama in recent weeks." ....... "With one month remaining before the November 6 election, Barack Obama has opened up a statistically significant lead over Mitt Romney in the battleground state of New Hampshire. In the most recent Granite State Poll, 52% of likely New Hampshire voters plan to vote for Obama, 37% say they will support Romney, 3% prefer some other candidate, and 9% say they are undecided."

I do NOT play that 'lesser than two evils' crap...ever.

That is unfortunate. Refusing to help defeat a greater evil, and it is hard to imagine how Kuster and her ilk would not be worse than any Republican, pro-life or not, is hard for me to understand.

Since both candidates are equal in your view with respect to pro-life issues, why not pick the best candidate for other issues?

Because the life issue is the most important issue...G-d instructs me to 'choose life'. Then there is the Declaration...

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Without the first of those rights; you do not have the second or third. I will not support a pro-death politician in either party...ever.

That is unfortunate.

I never consider obedience to G-d "unfortunate". I am not surprised that a resident of the 'least religious state in the nation' would have trouble understanding my position. In any event; I am going to a place where I do have a 'choice' on Election Day. I have every confidence that Bass/Kuster won't be decided by the two conservative votes that will be cast in another state. Good luck.

2010 was a good election, but the larger trend has been toward NH becoming a blue state. Since 1988 NH has only gone for the GOP presidential candidate once — in 2000.

The NH motto is To live Free or Die. And that is how the voters see this contest. To die but that only means if one votes Mitt?? Yikes. The nation is collapsing historically and in values. This really is the last election to save the republic. I guess too many Americans just do not see it that way. I am depressed but not enough not to vote. And I live in the soviet republic of Ca.

We just had our primaries here (9/11) and Denocrat turnout was higher than GOP turnout.

I’m sorry, Perry, Santorum, Cain all trailed in the polls by double digits to Obama. There is no way they would have a chance to win, absolutely none.

Did you read the article by Ann Coulter? Here is a nice summary, a link, a chart, and some other info.

First of all, you cite an article where Coulter claims that Obama isn't leading McCain. Except I'm pretty sure that Obama was leading McCain and that Obama actually won. Second, her data is bunk.

For example, if you average all of the polling in 1976, you'll see Carter with a much larger lead over Ford than he actually achieved (as Coulter notes). But the race tightened in the last couple of weeks, and polling in the last week universally showed it to be close.

The final Gallup poll had Ford leading Carter 49-48. In reality, Carter beat Ford 50-48. A two point GOP bias.

Some polls are biased towards Democrats. Some towards Republicans. All polls involve a margin of error. But there is zero documentable evidence that polling in general is biased towards a political party. People who believe in weird international conspiracies are generally found on the other side of the aisle -- this is very un-Republican.

This point may have been made: There are plenty of NH residents who crawled over the border from MA to avoid taxes. But true to their “do as I say, not as I do mentality,” they brought their liberal voting records with them to NH.

That’s why I don’t have one, and it’s also why I don’t have any signage in front of my house.
