The controversial "Piss Christ" photograph by Andres Serrano that is going on view at a Midtown gallery tomorrow has really been bothering Catholic League president Bill Donohue. He told Fox News last week, "It seems like we have a protected class for Muslims as well as some other segments of our population. But when it comes to Christians, it's an all-out war." So now Donohue has created a video showing off his answer: An Obama bobblehead in a jar with feces.
Okay, so the "feces" are actually just brown Play-Doh, while the piss in Serrano's photograph is actually Serrano's urine (it's a photograph of a crucifix in urine) which upsets mostly Republicans because it received some funding from the National Endowment for the Arts in the 1980s. Donohue complains in the video, "He didn't put Mohammed in there, he didn't choose any other religion, he just decided to do it to Jesus," and seems most upset about where it's being displayed: "If this Piss Christ had shown up in Soho or down in the Village in some dump that nobody would care about or in Chelsea, we wouldn't say much about it. But where is it gonna be shown? 57th between Fifth and Sixth Avenues right in the heart the heart of Midtown Manhattan."
Joe. My. God. noticed the video on YouTube and left a comment on the video's page, but then the Catholic League disabled comments. The comment was, "That's a pretty sweet office ya got there, Bill. How many old ladies are eating cat food this week so you could grab their Social Security checks?" [via Christian Nightmares]

Obama’s National Endowment for the Arts created this abomination and to set an example for how offensive it is, the Catholic League should have used genuine feces with the Obama bobblehead.
Love it, publicize it everywhere. Love Donohue, he’s a scrapper.

I have an idea about that. Do it side by side with the same treatment given to a depiction of Christ. Maybe something close to the P*ss Christ.
Then, to those that call for its suppression, ask them why for this and not the other one?
Also, there would be a very telling difference in the reaction between the offended religions... maybe enlighten a few people.

Not all that sure that the degree of blasphemy is dependent upon location.
I don’t think the protestants of 400 years ago would have gotten all upset over the “P!$$ Christ” as they would have just considered it to be a piece of brass in urine, made to rile the Catholics.
I know Protestants today are getting riled over it,yet I just consider it to be a piece of brass in urine. You could submerge a plastic Barbie doll in it and call it the Madonna and some would get upset.
I know the moslems would go berzerk over a Ken doll with a beard representing mohammed in urine.
When you laugh at it and not let it upset you, it looses it’s power to offend and becomes...nothing.

Islam is a war plan; a threat to every free person’s existence. I really don’t give a crap when it’s denigrated, but not sure about the value of rallying the barbarians to action.
Instead of sketching the insults, I’d rather see the kind of activism that expels the traitorous legislatures and judiciaries directly or tacitly supporting the injection of Islam into Western land and law.

I think that someone should use pig $hit - it would cause them to go so berzerk that they’d have people stroking out in the street. Or maybe have pigs eat something that looked like mo-ham-head (with a bomb turban, of course). Why? First to show how insane they are and, second, it would be a great way to communicate that we won’t stand for anyone dictating the destruction of the 1st Amendment. Screw them and their savagery.
Funny they didn't argue that about the person who made the film about Mohammad.
