U.S. responded to Benghazi attack as terrorism on ‘Day One’: Source

When gunmen struck the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11 of this year, the response from American officials was almost simultaneous: They immediately set about collecting information about the attackers, some of whom were quickly identified as foreigners, and tracing links from them to known extremist groups, a knowledgeable source has told Yahoo News.

The source's description came as fresh news accounts cast doubt on the White House's insistence that it has been forthright all along about what it knew about the attack. (I tweeted on Sept. 21 that this same source informed Yahoo News that the administration privately labeled the attack as terrorism on "Day One.")

Wow. So the administration knew all along it was terrorism, and let all their spokespeople blame it on a video for a week or two because they were busy getting things done on the down-low? The confusions was intentional and part of a misinformation campaign????? Riiiiggghhhhtttt. These people don't even lie well.

1. the security lapse
2. the initial cover story that sparked riots across the middle east
3. the fact there are no investigator's boots on the ground YET!
4. the new cover story that the public seems more willing to accept.
5. Las Vegas and The View were more important
6. his coldness after the speech in the rose garden

What happened to the ambassador? This is totally unconscionable or is the real truth something even more sinister. Obama had him taken out. It isn't the first time Obama has done this to citizens on foreign soil. This time he just didn't use a drone.

I’m still betting on the terrorists. obama is emotionless because he simply doesn’t care. obama lies all the time and the press never bats an eye. This time, there were pictures of the dead ambassador on Drudge prior to the administration’s cover story. Hillary and obama’s story that the nice Libyans were taking him to the hospital just did not cut it.
