Naturally, if you support Obama and are treated every day to wall-to-wall news headlines showing Obama so far ahead of Romney in the polls that the election is basically over, then you're less likely to go out of your way to vote in November. So there's a really fine line between turning out your voters and turning off your voters when using polling data like this.

I’m not sure, but I think early on Romney decided yard signs and bumper stickers weren’t too important. I see almost none for either candidate. Plus, both Obama and Romney charge for stickers and signs.
People don’t riot when it’s cold out. Summer, yes; winter, no.
Read The Amateur. Says a lot. Kindle has it for 9 bucks, well worth it.
Skewed polls, sure, no question. What will you say though if after all these skewed polls Obama still wins? Honest question, what will you say?
AGREE!!!!!
A lot of people right now just simply do not like Mitt Romney. Many of them have already written him off completely.
Not sure how he turns that around at this point with just over a month left, but if he is to have a chance at winning, he needs to make it happen.
How many bumper stickers did you see for the recent “Chick-fil-A Day”? None. But the lines of fed-up supporters wrapped around the buildings.
The real people who make America work, including MILLIONS of Christians who never even voted in 2008, will be out in droves to vote AGAINST Zero on November 6th. The lines of P.O’d Americans waiting in line to vote on that day will be Chick-fil-A Day to the third power!
I’m in Alabama and I haven’t seen one Obama bumper sticker. Not that it matters - Alabama will be red.
The media and the pollsters are like herd animals on the Serengeti, if they leave the pack they might be eaten. Also think of safety in numbers, birds of a feather or a high school clique with all the ‘cool’ kids.
Aw fu. I didn’t say I’m staying home. Ya dumbchit.
Who's Romeny? Is he on the ballot?
The Funders only Fund if they are convinced Obama is winning/1
Typical. If you are whistling by the graveyard no need to bother. Stay home. We can win this in a landslide without you.
Don’t worry. Here in Moonbat Massachusetts, Obama stickers are non-existent, but were everywhere in ‘08. I did a poll here a week ago, and the phenomenon is national.
Yes, we are not enthusiastic about Romney, but we WILL crawl over broken glass to vote for him. Look at 2010, Wisconsin and Chick-fil-a.
The turnout models in these polls assume a Dem turnout three times greater than ‘08, when R +4 is reasonable. That’s a 14 point discrepancy.
Do you thing the Democrats will have greater turnout than they did in 2008?
That is what some of the loftier poll numbers for Obama are using according to both Morris and karl Rove.
Yes! He is Ron Paul’s mini me
But what people who want riots—people like Frances Piven—are failing to accept is that nobody is fired up about Obama.
His loss will go down like the fizzle in a lukewarm cola.
Well put.
Same in Phoenix. There were O stickers all over my neighborhood. Not one to be found now.
Everyone is reporting this. Dem turnout will be WAY down. I also suspect that many will quietly pull the lever for Romney.
After the election, when they find out they were not alone, they’ll speak out.
