Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) reminds Republicans why they were hoping he would drop out of the U.S. Senate race against incumbent Claire McCaskill (D).
I think we have a very clear path to victory, and, apparently, Claire McCaskill thinks we do, too, because she was very aggressive at the debate, which was quite different than it was when she ran against Jim Talent, Akin told the Kansas City Star on Thursday.
She had a confidence and was much more ladylike [in 2006], but in the debate on Friday she came out swinging, and I think thats because she feels threatened.

I would have to agree with WHAT'S UP on that part.
Personal attacks indicate a lack of ammo.
Didn’t say any of that. I’m saying I don’t let the herd influence my opinion, either way, no matter if it’s somebody ‘on my side’ or not I call em as I see em.
If a dem is a moron I say so
If a rep is a moron I say so.
Got it?
Of course...that's obvious.
But they're still votes and at this point Akin should stay away from gender comments in order to not lose more of them.
Although I’m very feminine in appearance, I’ve never been considered “lady-like” in my entire life.
I was born a Tom Boy and will die a Tom Boy.
Thank you for the compliment.
Pragmatic.
Like not going to a senior citizen complex and lecturing about eliminating Social Security.
That’s moronic if you want to get elected and unless you GET elected, you can;t change the system.
Aiken is simply a moron with the right political views but lacks the common sense to successfully advance those views.
I heard him interviewed on the Sean Hannity Show. Sean is HARDLY a politically correct liberal. But after lsitening to Hannity talk to this guy, I have to say; HE’S a MORON
(Aiken - not Hannity).
Okay. I’ve made that mistake as well.
Well I doubt McCaskill was offended by the comment.
Instead she probably dropped to her knees and said Thank you Jesus! :)
Did anybody see the debate when a question was raised about the need for healthy foods?
Claire looked fat and stupid trying to talk about healthy eating...when she’s about 135 lbs overweight.
The statement will only have an impact with those who weren’t going to vote for Akin in the first place.
Nothing will change the mind of a baby-killer...(except God).
I would agree that you hit the nail on the head. While what he said was true, it also was more of a personal attack.
While that tactic seems to work so well for Dem politicians, I'm not sure it will gain him much with Conservative voters.
What is INTERESTING is that this kind of MUD SLINGING goes on with politicians (of both parties) constantly, and is usually MUCH MORE slanderous. BUT.... Akin is the only one the MSM chooses to report on.
WHY? Because they have been told that McCaskill MUST win, for Obama to achieve his 'goals'.
LOL I wish I had seen that.
Hey, maybe Akin can make a derogatory comment about her weight? After all, it’s true. /s

Hannity is a puppet for the RNC...what they want...he delivers.
but if I were running against her, especially if I were a man, I would not call her that.
I'm lost... call her what? Unladylike, or a conniving, condescending b*tch?
And what is wrong with “ladylike”? is it a dirty word now? Seriously folks enough crapping in your pants for no reason...
Baloney.
Hannity WITHDREW from the GOP. He is now a registered Conservative.
He understands politics is the art of the possible and Aiken’s continued presence on the ticket will assure the re-election of a vitriolic liberal.
Aiken is a nice guy who is right on all the issues - but he isn’t a politican.
I hope you are right about that. I agree it won’t switch a voter to McCaskill, but my guess is his blunders will keep some home who might otherwise have gone to vote for him.
Is this another word in the dictionary the liberals have banned because it's politically correct? I hadn't heard. And I don't care. It's a word, it has a defined meaning, and all human beings are allowed to use it freely. It is not sexist because it can be used to describe men as well. Obama, for example, is quite ladylike.
You are the problem....... Personal vanity and lack of faith are conservative killers
From what I see on TV Campaign ads, you win by TRASHING your OPPONENT.
Hey, he's the candidate, it's either him or McCaskill for senate from MO in 2013.
Why don't you just put out a yard sign for her.........
People here have said that if it’s true, then why not say it? I don’t think that’s a strategy for winning an election. Politicians often have to hold their tongues. It’s better to stick to policy than personal comments about ones’ opponent.
