This may be the first time in history that a President of the United States has called a terrorist attack against the country a "bump in the road." (September 23, 2012).

CBS's Steve Kroft asked, “Have the events that took place in the Middle East, the recent events in the Middle East given you any pause about your support for the governments that have come to power following the Arab Spring?”
President Obama answered, “Well, I'd said even at the time that this is going to be a rocky path. The question presumes that somehow we could have stopped this wave of change. I think it was absolutely the right thing for us to do to align ourselves with democracy, universal rights-- a notion that-- people have- to be able to-- participate-- in-- their own governance. But I was pretty certain and continue to be pretty certain that there are going to be bumps in the road because-- you know, in a lot of these places-- the one organizing principle-- has been Islam. The one part of society that hasn't been controlled completely by the government. There are strains of extremism, and anti-Americanism, and anti-Western sentiment. And you know can be tapped into by demagogues. There will probably be some times where we bump up against some of these countries and have strong disagreements, but I do think that over the long term, we are more likely to get a Middle East and North Africa that is more peaceful, more prosperous and more aligned with our interests.”

#1 How broad a trend does he need ? I believe that somewhere between 5640 - 6000 miles of muslim nations have been rioting . Additionally , another 2 nations have prevented a “Muslum Brotherhood “ takeover of political proportions . There ain’t nothing religious about it - its all about power .

#2 Our values do not include armed aggression under the guise of supporting democracy , and then in the vaccume , have the bloody , well-armed Muslum Brotherhood muscle their way into power.
Our Values are to address a problem with leadership ( leader - implies from the front) , not appearances on Letterman , Leno , and “The View” . It means stay focused and “Get’er done !”

#3 Democracy implies accountability to the citizenry .
Explain , please , why we have more security in this country ( Homeland Security / BATF/ FBI/ drones/ Border Agents / violation of ‘posse commitaus’/ National Guard / para military police/ closed circuit cameras) while we are losing our democracy ?

The rocky path is the fact that our government , our political leaders on all sides of the aisle do not hold to our values . They tell us one thing when they want our vote , then they go to Wash D.C. and they vote totally different than what they told us.
The wars are not out values
The National debt is not our values
The ‘QE 3’ to save the leveraged banks is not our values
Obviously , Mr. Tapper , your interpretation of my values and my concept of democracy differ from yours ; you have a great voice which reaches millions; I am but a voice of a few in the whirlwind .

Our sodomized and murdered Amabassador, the murder of 2 former Navy Seals, the murder of another American, American embassies besieged, the White House cover up and lies, the release of secret documents pointing to the attacks being an inside job, the lack of security to protect the life of our Ambassador and his staff, the willful and intentional refusal to heed warnings from Libya and repeated attempts of Netanyahu's calls days before the atrocity are all just 'bumps in the road' to the Marxist Obama.
No wonder he could go to sleep during the mortaring of our embassy and attend a gala fundraiser in Vegas the following day.

Thank {Diety} for The 2nd Amendment. Myself and other bitter-clingers like me similarly represent a part of society that will never be completely controlled either.
He’s gonna go dance on graves of SEALs this week by having a campaign stop in Virginia Beach. I am so disgusted by this. There is no way he can win that area. So what other reason could he have for campaigning within spitting distance of their home base? Is he drawing a map for his pals?
Bump in the road? This guy just doesn’t care about dead Americans or high unemployment. That’s what I take from it. A lack of care.
