Where are Romney’s ads, by the way? They are nowhere to be seen in NC.

” in the short-term, these comments have dinged Romney pretty badly.’

They wouldn’t hurt so much if Romney would just charge forward with the theme of his remarks, dependent government vs individual responsibility and reward for achievement.
It should be the center point to his campaign.

At this point in the race, a bandwagon effect takes hold in all the undecideds: they want to go with the winner. It kills me to say it, but right now that looks like the effete, jug-eared mediocrity.

I agree. Americans like to be on the winning team, no matter how dirty it wins.

"Thou shall not covet thy neighbors goods."

Yep - this is one reason the left wants to ban public posting of "The TEN" - it undercuts their entire political platform...

It does Obama no good to have 70% of California, the left coast and East Coast, and then to lose by 10,000 votes in WI, KY, OH, VA, NC, NH, etc. Being popular would have elected Kerry.

The poll results that are most troubling here is that Obama’s approval is rising, even on specific issues like foreign affairs and the economy - the two issues he is currently bungling big time.

Proves the power (and corruptness) of the establishment media. It is 24/7 pro Obama/anti Romney. And it's pretty scary. He's standing at 50% with a train wreck of a record.

What happens if he actually wins and gets some good economic news in a 2nd term? He could be in the 65% approval area - based on the media.

2013 inaugural ceremony to be pushed back a day

By David Jackson, USA TODAY
Updated 2012-03-28 7:14 PM

By Robert Deutsch, USA TODAY
Jan. 20 — presidential Inauguration Day — is a Sunday, so all the pomp and ceremony will be pushed back a day.

As is tradition, the winner of the November election will be sworn in privately at noon on Jan. 20, but the actual ceremony will be on Jan. 21.

The office of Sen. Charles Schumer, elected to serve as chairman of the 2013 Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, noted “this is the seventh time in U.S. history that the constitutionally mandated inauguration date has fallen on a Sunday.”

I can attest to the fact the Obama campaign is still waging an air campaign here in NC. And the lithe and lovely Michelle was just in Greensboro the other day.

Where are Romney’s ads, by the way? They are nowhere to be seen in NC.

They are not running in NH either. And this is a complaint in many swing states.

Obama pummeled Romney all summer. And the strategy was that Romney would carpet bomb after the convention. Now the word is they are waiting for early October. I hope it is not too late by then.

And the problem with that is people are already sick to death of these ads. So I question the wisdom of unleashing waves of them in October.

Romney really needs to do well in the debates and change things up as opposed to just canning his answers to segments of his stump speach.
