In a letter addressed to Alderman Moreno and signed by Chick-fil-As Senior Director of Real Estate, it states, The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas. Winshape, a non-profit funded by Chick-fil-a, has donated millions of dollars to anti-LGBT groups, including some classified as hate groups, such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage. In meetings the company executives clarified that they will no longer give to anti-gay organizations.
But WinShape didnt release the same comment to BuzzFeed. In fact, they refused to say anything conclusive, and seemed to lack self-awareness about having an anti-gay stance:
We have no agenda, policy or position against anyone. We have a 65-year history of providing hospitality for all people and, as a dedicated family business, serving and valuing everyone regardless of their beliefs or opinions, he said in a general press statement emailed to BuzzFeed by another Chick-fil-A spokesman, Jerry Johnston, who said the companys press statement is not new. The genuine, historical intent of our WinShape Foundation and corporate giving has been to support youth, family and educational programs.

I saw that the CFA spokesman died. That is a shame. But any large company should have a back-up spokesman.
Finally — after the liberals held the field for way too long — we got a vague statement from Don Cathy about “not changing our values,” whatever that means. The statement did not say their donations to the Family Research Council would continue or not.
If CFA passionately believed in this issue, they would have live on the air, being quoted every day, on Fox News or wherever. Imagine if Bill O’Reilly were their spokesman, he’d know how to publicize it.
Because the liberals will abuse the truth, CFA has to hit back hard. As a big, controversial company, CFA has to be willing to go on the record every day. It has to respond to attacks every day.
The homosexual radicals held the field for way too long — they talked while CFA was silent. CFA said nothing except refer to some statement that the liberals promptly slanted and distorted.
Finally we got another vague statement from Don Cathy about not changing our values, whatever that means. The statement did not even say whether their donations to the Family Research Council would continue or not.
Really poor public relations on CFA’s part.
I disagree, CFA knows where their money goes, we know where their money goes and the homostapo knows..
They’ve made their statement CFA has and if the homostapo wants to try and spin it into a win then let them but only the idiots will think it’s a win whilst most of us know the truth.
Don;t see why CFA has to keep coming out eevry time to mention their point because some radcial left wing website tries to spin it.
I went there today and so did the family
We both admire CFA and its support for the traditional family. But I am concerned about CFA’s media savvy, or like thereof. It took way too long for CFA to come up with an adequate response to this latest attack.
CFA needs someone on its staff or a hired PR firm who quickly responds to all attacks. That would be good not just for CFA but for the cause of the traditional family in general. The gay radicals crank up their emails and press releases at the slightest notice. Our side should too.
You do recall that their longtime head of public relations died recently, don’t you? I suspect that might have something to do with it.
I see. You think its fine for the gay mafia to jerk the chain and have Mr. Cathy jump at their beck and call.
And the next time the lies and slander comes? Jump again?
CFA should just ignore these queer pissants.
It was unfortunate. But a large company should have a backup plan in case a spokesman is on vacation, gets sick or worse.
A large, important company can’t be a wimp. It has to respond to attacks, especially the high-profile attack in Chicago a couple weeks ago. If you don’t the liberals will assume you don’t have an answer or have given up the fight.
The more you wimp out, the more you lose. That’s way politics works.
The last time I checked, Chick fil A was not into politics. They are a private corporation based on Godly values. And as such, they are not obliged to enter the gutter political arena the nasty homo nazis live in.
What is it the Bible says about turning the other cheek? Anyway, CFA is better off ignoring the lies and slander. I didn’t beleive the queers when they came out last week with that BS. Did you?
They’re talking like politicians. Not good.
They are in the public arena. They deal with the public. They have employees and shareholders depending on their good public image. They have to respond to the attacks, whether those attacks on right or wrong. Jesus was never afraid to tell the truth to the world.
