CAIRO—Ambassador Chris Stevens was still breathing when Libyans stumbled across him inside a room in the American embassy in Benghazi, pulled him out and drove him to a hospital after last week’s deadly attack in the eastern Libyan city, witnesses told the Associated Press on Monday.
Fahd al-Bakoush, a freelance videographer, was among the Libyan civilians searching through the embassy after gunmen and protesters rampaged through it last Tuesday night. Al-Bakoush said he heard someone call out that he had tripped over a dead body.
A group of people gathered as several men pulled the seemingly lifeless form from the room. They saw he was alive and a foreigner, though no one recognized him as Stevens, al-Bakoush said.

He was breathing and his eyelids flickered, he said. “I tested his pulse and he was alive,” he said “No doubt. His face was blackened and he was like a paralyzed person.”
Video taken by al-Bakoush and posted on YouTube shows Stevens being carried out of a small dark room through a window with a raised shutter and being laid on the floor. One man touches his neck to feel for a pulse. Some of the men shout, “God is great.”
The video has been authenticated since Stevens’ face is clearly visible and he is wearing the same white t-shirt seen in authenticated photos of him being carried away one another man’s shoulders, presumably moments later. Two colleagues of al-Bakoush who also witnessed the scene confirmed that he took the footage.

Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack on the consulate, part of a wave of assaults on U.S. diplomatic missions in Muslim countries over a low-budget movie made in the United States that denigrates the Prophet Muhammad.
The accounts of all three witnesses mesh with that of the doctor who treated Stevens that night. Last week, the doctor told The Associated Press that Stevens was nearly lifeless when he was brought by Libyans, with no other Americans around, to the Benghazi hospital where he worked. He said Stevens had severe asphyxia from the smoke and that he tried to resuscitate him with no success. Only later did security officials confirm it was Stevens.
A freelance photographer who was with al-Bakoush at the scene, Abdel-Qader Fadl, said Stevens was unconscious and “maybe moved his head, but only once.”
Ahmed Shams, a 22-year-old arts student who works with the two, said the group cried out “God is great” in celebration after discovering he wasn’t dead. “We were happy to see him alive. The youth tried to rescue him. But there was no security, no ambulances, nothing to help,” he said.
The men carried Stevens to a private car to drive him to the hospital since there was no ambulance, all three witnesses said.
This story would actually play into the narrative that it was not a “crowd” acting spontaneously, but rather a “premeditated-coordinate attack” by a select group of people.
Think about it, if it had been an “uncontrollable crowd”, no doubt they would still be there, and these supposed good Samaritans would probably have clashed with the “uncontrollable crowd” that would have not only been still there, but would probably no doubt have prevented them from getting anywhere near the inside of the building.
No doubt, the premeditated attackers, once they did their job, left immediately so as not to wage fighting with any armed Lybians or Americans coming to the rescue.
So, the American UN Ambassador and Hillary Clinton, and Obama do not want to acknowledge that they did not react to a “premeditated-coordinated” attack, so they blame it on a “crowd” with the term of “senseless killing”.

You are assuming the people that pulled him out are the same ones that attacked the building? Probably not the case.
Photos on the net show the mob dragging the ambassador as armed with AKs. These are very likely the attackers.
No disagreement on obama. However that video is not long enough to draw too many defensible conclusions. Hopefully other videos will emerge. I want to see video of him being dragged .. er “carried” to the hospital. My guess is we will never get all the facts as this administration will suppress as much as possible.
A Libyan who survived the attack said that there was NO demonstration, that it was quiet when the safe house was attacked.
Once again, we have to go out of the country to get news. When the news media is delivering you a bad product, stop buying.

Also, unless the camera that took the first pic/vid did not have a sensor capable of rendering real color, the ambassador’s abdomen appears black and blue as it he’d been struck repeatedly by blunt objects like pipes, gun butts or even rolled magazines.

Then, once the "bad guys" had successfully attacked the building, they ran off to their mission debriefing and sweet tea while the benevolent second wave of unaffiliated people ran into the smoky ruins to rush the highly revered neighborhood ambassador to the hospital. And take photos.
Probably not the case. In fact your scenario is dumber than what the administration has us believe.
Not only that, but one of the “draggers” put his AK on the ground right outside the window, it is visable in the video.
And, what about the bloody hand prints on the columns at the front of the building. Looking at them, they weren’t made by some one who was being carried to his rescue, hospital, beer summit, or any other fairy tale destination Obam and his regime would have you believe.
One thing about it... the longer this goes on... the more truth we get. See you down thread friend.

I hope he was unaware of what was happening to him. I hope his death was not as traumatic as it seems. I hope those things for his family. I cannot image how they must feel reading and hearing these reports.
Yes the people pulling stevens out may not be the same people that attacked the building. The people pulling him look like locals with cell phones and not professional al qaeda types. But who knows. We got way too many armchair know it alls reading too much into too little info.
I only hope and pray that if the Obama and State Department corrupt inner circles conspire to squelch, classify or otherwise tamper with the Ambassador's autopsy report the Steven's family will have the integrity to release it to the public if it conflicts with the party line.
This goes for all four autopsies, BTW. Have you noticed how there is absolutely no details of how, when and where the other three victims died?

From what I’ve seen, I don’t believe he was alive when he was pulled out of that building.
There is no American embassy in Benghazi. The embassy is in Tripoli, the capital.
Good common sense in that post. Unfortunately alot of people out there don’t have a lick of common sense while reading all these conflicting scenarios.
My favorite part is how the declaration of “God is Great!” means this was an act of kindness?
Huh? How many times do we need to be reminded of horrific moments when people died right after hearing “God is Great!”???
I told my kids....if you ever hear an arab yelling “God is Great”....RUN!!!!
Obama and the media are trying to make this their “Reichtag Fire”. We have to stay vigilant and win this.
