Protesters plan to take to the streets of New York City to mark the first anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement. After a weekend of events in Manhattan and multiple arrests demonstrators intend to gather in spots across lower Manhattan on Monday to disrupt the start of the workday.
The groups, which meet at 7 a.m., will organize around issues that appeal to the concerns of protester. There will be zones for debt, education, environment and the 99 percent. Once people are assembled, the groups will wind their way towards the stock exchange where they expect to form the so-called peoples wall.
Organizer Lisa Fithian explained that once protesters make their way into the Financial District, the goal is to stop people from going to work.

I am seeing some of this via a colleague's satellite right now. These morons are blocking doors, traffic, and giving cops a hard time. Some have been arrested.
How NYC can vote liberal is beyond reason.

Where can we send the female-bodied "Ketchup" a Happy Anniversary card? I visited OWS last October, before it had full descended into a homeless camp of robberies, rapes and heroin ODs,and soon after arrival I knew that I was in an alternate universe. But I didn't realize it was *that* bad.I sincerely hope that those two clowns were part of a staged comedy skit rather than for "real".Otherwise,well.....

I’m sure it will be over-hyped for the small crowd size I’ve seen on TV this morning.

To be completely fair, let’s note that a goodly number of the OWS protesters think Obama isn’t far enough left.
