Muslim cleric Abu Islam Burns the Holy Bible in front of thousands of Muslims at protest outside the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday, 9/11. His action was met with applause and anti-Christian cheers from the demonstrators.
According to Mary Abdelmassih in a story carried by the Assyrian International News Agency (www.aina.org), the cleric, before leaving the demonstration and getting into his car, told the crowds next time I will urinate on it.

Muslims did worse than that in the Church of the Nativity.
Burning a Bible does not destroy what it says. Now if we burn Mecca (glass parking lot) it would be more significant.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
I really didnt think about what this actually meant until a few years ago. What is means is this... as you read it, you are not just getting conceptual knowledge, but as you read the Holy Spirit is discerning things in your spirit. Connecting things, shifting you. Revealing who God is, not by just the actual words on the page, but as you read it. I know that may sound crazy, but if you read and ask him to reveal what He needs to, you will find this happening.
Yeah, we also use koran toilet paper. Something you murdering ragheads wouldn't know about.
I find this whole thing about Terry Jones rather amusing, in a pathetic way.
He’s a backwoods preacher with 50 people in his congregation, yet he gets worldwide media attention.
The sole reason is that the media loves to find whackjobs like him and hold them up as examples of what all right wing Christians are like. They’d love to do this with the Westboro Baptist Church, but conservative detestation of it is too obvious for the connection to stick.
So now that the media has made Terry Jones an international media figure, his idiotic remarks about a moronic “movie trailer” can lead to riots around the world.
Good job, guys.
I realize the Libyan riot was nothing of the kind, but the Egyptian one apparently was, at least in part.
BTW, with modern animation technology, anybody can make an offensive “movie” about Islam, or anything else, for essentially no cost. The really odd thing about this “movie” is that somebody actually invested some significant amount of money in it.
Very nice comment mnehring.
Thank you for burning the Bible. That makes us even and everyone can go home.
Seriously, the link at comment 11 is great. Bacon grease makes them Koran pages burn good.
Find out some mailing addresses for these groups in the United States and then sign them up for a copy of the Book of Mormon. Those people never give up.
If you are traveling overseas you might see an arrow on the bedside table in your hotel room. Those arrows point to Mecca for the Muslim guests. Sometimes those can peel up. Sometimes subtle rearrangement of the furniture will do the trick. I even found one cheap piece of furniture where I could take the top off and turn it around.
I like to think that there are several people in the UAE and Bahrain that are pointing their butts at Mecca, five times a day.
Burning books is easy. Originality and style take some thought and effort.
I guess this means we better close up all of our KFC’s and Hardees restaurants for the entire week...us Christians are going to burn down and kill everything in view.
The Word of GOD is not a physical thing that can be burned up in a fire.
You can burn all of the paper manifestations of GOD’s Word that you wish to, with no real, enduring effect.
In this way GOD’s Word is infinitely more powerful than any work of fiction (e.g. Koran).

Abu Islam refused the accusation of defaming Christianity, saying, I refuse the term defamation, because it does
not exist in Islam. What I acknowledge is belief or disbelief, not defamation. It also is a secular word, and
what I acknowledge about Christianity is that it is a pagan, blasphemous religion

muslims shouldn’t be burning the Holy Bible. If another muslim wanted to push it he could be put to death for blasphemy. muslims calim that Jesus (issa) and Abraham (ibraheem) are prophets of allah, therefore their words should carry the same weight at mohammeds word. But of course we know that is not the case.
lol
Exactly. MSM goes out of its way to find stories that ‘fit the narrative.’ For example, Jones gets national attention for the Bible burn when it’s really one nut with 50 people in his church. That’s international news?
The fake hate crimes that show up are part of the MSM’s ongoing story. Certain groups are victims; other groups (Straight white Christian males mostly) are the bad guys.
If it departs from the story, it doesn’t get national attention.
Of course since I don't pay any direct attention to Terry Jones, he sure could have advertised for the ‘14 minute video’, but the first I heard anything about that video was Obama apologizing to Cairo over it. I have not seen the video, nor do I have any inclination or need to see it but this video sure did seem to appear out of thin air.
Is there a reason that we haven’t turned these countries into glass?
I like your style.
I have no real evidence the “dog Terry” is Terry Jones. I just assumed it. But don’t know of any other Terry involved.
Apparently this “movie” had flown below the radar on Youtube formsix weeks or so. Then Terry Jones published some sort of endorsement of it, and suddenly it became international news.
Apparently he is the new Oprah.
Let people make their own decisions about whether a guy who marries a six year old and deflowers her at nine is a pedophile or not.
