Ingraham Trashes Romney Camp For Trailing In The Polls: ‘Should Be Up By Five, Six Points’

Mitt Romney‘s campaign has suffered in the head-to-head polls against President Barack Obama following his party’s national convention. Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham told Fox & Friends on Monday that the Romney campaign has no excuse for being behind in the polls in this economic environment. She went on to say that statements from some of Romney’s staffers asking supporters to ignore the polls reminds her of 2006, when Republicans lost control of Congress.

After introducing Ingraham, Gretchen Carlson played a clip of White House Press Sec. Jay Carney making the case that the economy President Obama inherited from President George W. Bush could not be fixed in four years. Brian Kilmeade noted that the recession of 2008 officially ended in June of 2009, prior to the full implementation of the stimulus.

“They are forever shifting the goalposts here and I think it is incumbent on the Romney campaign to make that very clear,” Ingraham said.

She went on to say that the Romney/Ryan ticket should make a campaign issue of how the Bureau of Labor Statistics calculates the official adjusted unemployment rate.

Carlson accused two of the three major networks of failing to report accurately that the unemployment rate went down in the month of August because 365,000 people left the workforce. Fox then put up a graphic of ABC and NBC aligned with the official logo for the Democratic National Convention.

Ingraham said that the Romney camp needs to be “three times as good” at messaging and branding as Obama to overcome the inherent media bias in favor of the president. “Obama can get out there and get a choreographed bear hug, and it trends on twitter for two days,” said Ingraham.

Laura was a big Romney fan and trashed conservatives like Sarah.

"Live by the CINO, die by the CINO," Laura.

I agree. Ingraham is all over the place. She attacked Palin when she was a possible candidate last year for the presidential election.

Yeah. He need to get some lessons from Palin, Cheney and West on how to go on the offensive against Obama.

Oh come on, we need to stop deluding ourselves. Laura is right. Where the hell is Mitt Romney? I haven’t seen hide nor hair of the guy since before the DNC.

Laura’s problem is that she sounds like every man’s ex-wife.

Ingraham is correct.

No matter how well credentialed Romney is, he is surrounded in his campaign by establishment Republicans who believe in nothing, other than Romney is a ticket for them to get in on the presidential spoils with jobs, celebrity, and power.

Too many of them are typical of that lead spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom of Etch-a-Sketch fame. These guys don’t have a clue as to what is going on with real people out in America. They just take the lead from the MSM and other campaign consultants who have a blind groupthink on America.

They are outclassed by the Obama team who are actually fighting to win. They are always responding to Obama’s attacks, rather than starting their own onslaught against Obama and his lies. Start fighting back. Our nation is in peril. Obama is shattering our capability to defend itself. Obama is allied with the enemies of America like the Muslim Brotherhood, yet he wants to let them tell us what to do. We are in unpayable debt, yet Romney’s minions let the world think that the Obama lies about the economy are true.

We are setting the scene for a new 9-11 much worse than the one we mark today. One where not 3000, but 300,000, or 3 million, will die in an Islamic nuclear blast, and Romney’s hired help aren’t even heard from.

When Romney loses, they will all go on to well paid jobs or gigs on cable TV, while you guys are out selling apples in the coming Obama depression and losing war.

There’s a very significant probability that Romney is up by at least 3-5 points right now, but there can’t be any margin for error. This needs to be a landslide for the Republicans (even if some are not sufficiently conservative), and can be if handled correctly.

Take it easy Laura. First of all, Romney isn’t getting much media coverage unless it’s negative. All of the election coverage is going to obama and always favorable and it’s always lies. Hard to get your message out there when the networks won’t cover you but they cover FOR obama.

Amazing how some of us can distill a situation as easily as we ‘widowers’. Bwahahah!

Four years ago on this date, McCain, fresh off the bonus of having his convention second, led Obama by 2.5% in the RCP average. This time, Obama was bolstered by his convention going second and leads by 2.9%. You can already see some of that buzz slipping away and they are going to run out of ways to twist the numbers eventually.

Her statement that we are letting the Democrats move the goalposts is 100% correct

And instead of using her microphone to stop them, she becomes the mindless echo chamber of the Democrat propaganda machine. Ingraham is a classic example of everything that is wrong with the modern "Conservative" movement "Conservatives" like Ingrham, want to sit on their asses and mindlessly bitch at their own side instead of getting in the game and help move the political ball down the field. Ingraham is a typical useful idiot "conservative" tool of the Democrat propaganda machine. She spends her time shooting her own in the back to rationalize her political cowardice as "principal" After all taking on the Leftist media makes them mad at you, so much safer for her to just shoot at her own side knowing they will never shoot back.

Here's a concept: let's blame the candidate(s) for their own defeat

Here a better one. Let start holding people accountable for their actions. Romney or Obama will be the next President. Spending all your time squealing because the Romney doesn't 100% perfectly reflect YOUR opinions does one thing, help reelect Obama Let's stop shilling for the Democrat candidate out a childish fit of spite because the GOP candidate is not absolutely flawless and pure.

You mean, blame the Palinbots, Akin or Conservatives if Romney fails to excite the base? We already have someone like that in the White House who blames ATM Machines, Bush and God...

I still say: let's blame the candidate(s) for their own defeat

When will we concede that Conservative/Republican/American politics are dead, thru demographics and Socialism?

This merry-go-round is getting old, we should have jumped off years ago.

Or at least when Obamacare passed, when we KNEW it would now be impossible to run a political campaign threatening to take away a family's healthcare.

OR a campaign to take away (Gov)livelihoods, SS, Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

We must admit to ourselves that American has only about 30% of real Americans anymore.

So what can we do with that 30%? How to hold on to that % when more and more are succumbing to the gov every year?

The ballot box is no longer an option.

Something needs to be done now while we still have a base to work with.

Hard truth. Nothing in life is perfect.

Spending all your time whining about your supposed political allies not being flawless enough for you does nothing to help win elections and advance your political agenda.

It is past time for “conservatives” to get off their asses and get in the political game rather then sitting around whining for some never to be realized “perfect” party to be handed to them
