And effect treason charges? I'm pretty sure that can't happen. If he were to have diplomatic immunity, it means that he's a fraud and that large portions of the government are accessories to conspiracy, treason, sedition, attempting to overthrow government, etc.

We could get into the whole you can’t impeach one who does not hold the office legitimately but are there not crimes that diplomatic immunity does not protect?

Impeach him. Who in the world would impeach him?

From Article I, Section 9 of the US Constitution:

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State. “

... assuming anyone pays attention to it anymore.

Impeachment is a political, not a criminal process. Diplomatic immunity doesn't apply (even if the idea wasn't absurd).

“diplomatic immunity!”

We can always impeach him and under the law DI does not gaurantee a person would not be prosecuted. People have the wrong idea what DI means and protects a person from.

Plus, if you wanted to go down that road as well, that means he is also a spy and subject to execution under our laws for spying.

Diplomatic immunity is granted only to those diplomats formally accredited by the country in which they serve. If the host country hasn't accredited your diplomatic status, you have no immunity.

Romney’s father was born in Mexico and had Mexican citizenship. That Mexican citizenship was passed down to Mitt Romney.

He doesn’t need this, the criminal enterprise/country of Hawaii will protect him there. He is preparing his getaway.

If he were granted diplomatic status, then he could be sent back to his “home” country, whichever that is, at the request of our government.

We can’t impeach him because we would hear the whining of racism.

Obama having diplomatic immunity would make it much more likely, not less likely, that he would be impeached. It would be prima facie evidence that he was disqualified from holding the office, and it would do nothing to protect him from the proceedings, since it isn’t a criminal matter. Also, diplomatic immunity is a privilege that we grant to foreign diplomats, it is not something that we are bound to abide by in all situations.

What if Kenya made Romney a citizen and granted him diplomatic status as well? We’d really be up the creek then.

I recall some scene in “Lethal Weapon II” where the bad guy claims “Diplomatic Immunity”...
