"The zombies are coming!" the Homeland Security Department says.
Tongue firmly in cheek, the government urged citizens Thursday to prepare for a zombie apocalypse, part of a public health campaign to encourage better preparation for genuine disasters and emergencies. The theory: If you're prepared for a zombie attack, the same preparations will help during a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake or terrorist attack.

Dude. See my post. I’m peripherally involved and very aware of the players. Nothing like what you are saying.
Give Obama 'more time'; and the hoards will have the suburbs; the 'homes' et al.
'Redistribution' is key; to Obama's success with his 'zombie' constituency. And, longer term; it goes beyond sharing your paycheck.
Now that’s a beautiful thing!
Actually, the entire agency is loaded with bright, motivated, dedicated Doctorates and Masters who genuinely want to improve health. While there are, of course, a few strident leftists scattered among the group, the vast majority don't give a whit about politics and are working very hard on their specialty: Whether it be diabetes or athsma or cancer research, or preventing outbreaks of catastrophic new viruses, or radiation detection and mitigation.... the list is endless.
These are hardworking, dedicated people who actually care. Of all the Federal agencies I have ever seen in my life, this is the first one that is actually worth a damn.
Must have EBT cards! EBT cards good!
Welfare recipients after Obomas economic crash. They'll be suffering from free stuff withdrawal.
During the last depression, people had to work together to get through it, and they did. They were a hard working people.
Today, half the population feeds off another human. When the host can no longer support the parasite, the parasite has to find a way to survive on something else. They'll be exactly like zombies.
After an oboma crash, there's nothing we're going to be able to do for them. All we can do is protect outselves and our families from them until there aren't any left.
We can have a clean conscience about it, though. It wasn't us who decieved them. We tried to save them from the left. They chose not to listen.
Only if you leave tire marks.
What surprises me is not the reference to zombies, but that the government wants us to prepare at all. Only a year or two ago they labeled preppers as borderline terrorists. What prompted the change?
I didn’t see anything in the article about guns and ammo, lots of ammo. I don’t recall anything from the government saying you should have guns and ammo. I’ve seen guns and ammo on many other lists of what we would need in case of emergency that included but none from the government. I personally have a sharp axe, a sharp machete, quite a few but never enough guns, a whole lot of ammunition but again never enough.
I need to get more fougas & bouncing betty’s. Remember folks with enough barbed wire, bullets, beef jerky & beer you can stop most anybody. 8*>
Newt: My mommy always said there were no monsters - no real ones - but there are.
Ripley: Yes, there are, aren’t there?
Newt: Why do they tell little kids that?
Ripley: Most of the time it’s true.
You will note that the govt. list of needed items for the Zombie Apocalypse specifically leaves off any mention of firearms . That is not a mistake it is a deliberate act on the part of the govt.
Don't expect that. When in communication with him -- I was, at one point, envisioning a limited-function game -- he asked me to de-stress firearms. I argued that most zombie movies and series had a heavy firearms focus. He agreed, but said that because of the strong feelings on both sides of the issue, it would be best to avoid. He didn't want the effort to get caught up in anything even remotely controversial.
I guess that's prudent, if your goal is to get a message out, stay off the sources of controversy. There are plenty of sources of information about firearms already.
Read my above.
They aren't talking about actual preppers. I read the info. they had. They say prepare for “a couple of days”, giving you time to go to a “refugee” center.
I'm prepared for most anything but I would live in a cave and eat questionable berries before I would go to their “refugee” center.
