Cities like New York will become hell on earth if and when this begins.
I just received a question about knowing when to bug out, if that’s your plan, and here was my answer:
Only a few scenarios would result in a simultaneous national collapse. A nuclear missile attack, an EMP attack, a giant solar flare, etc.
Otherwise, the collapse will unfold and spread unevenly. Sri Lanka was an early warning.
We may see hyperinflation or a deflationary depression or even both (really bad stagflation). But when a large percentage of Americans cannot 1. pay their rent/mortgage 2. fill their cars to commute to work (if they still have jobs) 3. Buy groceries to feed their families, that’s when TSHTF will kick off.
The poor inner cities will suffer first and worst, so SHTF will happen there initially. Then, expect urban supermarkets and drugstores to be looted to their bare shelves. They will not be restocked. The EBT system will not magically repair the stores, provide security, and put food back on the shelves. This will happen unevenly in a few big cities first. Maybe [your city], maybe not. The regional power grid and supply chain situations will determine which cities collapse first.
But when the supermarket looting just keeps going, spreading and expanding from city to city and then out into their suburbs, it’s time to bug out, [if that is your plan.]
This collapse will not self-correct. Not even martial law will be able to fix what will be happening. [Think Humpty-Dumpty and the powerlessness of all the King’s men.] But martial law may prevent you from bugging out if you wait too long. That is, you may be forced to stay in your local area by LE and NG roadblocks and checkpoints.
So if bugging out is your plan, do so when the supermarkets begin to be looted to the bare shelves for food in your state, and they are not restocked, and the looting begins to spread toward your city. Or, if you are “bugging in,” initiate your neighborhood self defense plan, according to Jack Lawson’s “A Failure of Civility” and “The Civil Defense Manual.”

I have that in soft cover. It’s out of print now.

AFOC? CDM is still in print.
I think AFOC might have been better, but both are excellent.
Good analysis. Read it slowly and let your lips move. Read it again.
The 2nd is about a well-regulated militia. Group up now.
Put some beer in the fridge, meat on the grill and open the garage door. you will find the warriors.
and we should work unceasingly to return America to the path of true brotherhood, peace and prosperity. Race hustlers of every stripe should be condemned.
AFOC. We have been working on a plan for our neighborhood for about 15 months. The hardest part was identifying and recruiting suitable individuals for the group.
We started with the members of our Neighborhood Watch. If necessary would could muster up a well equipped and fairly well trained squad. Fortunately our gun club has a whole bunch of stuff we can use to train including barricades, walls, and non running vehicles.

Nothing will assist recruitment like normies watching supermarkets being looted and burned.
“The 2nd is about a well-regulated militia.”
You misunderstand the 2nd. It is about individual rights and restrictions on government, as are all the Bill of Rights. The 2nd is not directed at guns only being used for militias.
You should take a civics class.
Do you have reading skills?
“A well regulated militia being necessary................”
The points you make are in other areas, they are related.
The second is about the people, the militia. Without the grouping up of the people, you have nothing.
Guns are a tool. There are other tools as well as guns.
Words have meanings. look at those introductory words. Reflect on them.
“Nothing will assist recruitment like normies watching supermarkets being looted and burned.”
By then it will be too late. And we don’t want to toss an ad hoc bunch of people we’ve never trained with in our midst.

You are right, “The 2nd is not directed at guns only being used by the militias.” I never said that and neither did our founding fathers.
What is a well regulated militia?
Those words were very carefully selected with a purpose.
We think we know what they mean, our eyes skim over them without thinking.
What were they communicating?
Our founding fathers were well educated, much better educated that we are. They were philosophers who studied history and God. Everyone one of them was a philosopher guided by high thoughts and thinking.
Well regulated refers to the hearts of men, the patriots. Not military training. They understood the heart of a man was important. What they were fighting for and why.
They knew educated, trained men with a right heart was key.
Fighting for individual rights and restrictions of government without right hearts, leads us no where.
People working from home in small town Appalachia: “Oh?”
On reflection, I thank you for your points.
It is not about the militia either as I stated. The adjectives are very important.
It is about right hearts.
“A single truck loaded with food or gasoline would be perceived to be a Fort Knox on wheels and subject to immediate attack unless heavily protected by powerfully armed security forces...”
Already seeing delivery trucks to our beachside neighborhood accompanied by open carry security, driving in unmarked chase vehicle. Probably not necessarily for our neighborhood (though the store has been robbed), but because of the other neighborhood stores which also receive deliveries.
Gonna get ugly if the current financial and social trends continue.
Best wishes
[Gonna get ugly if the current financial and social trends continue.]
Plan. Prepare. Strategize.
I talk big, but I don’t even have a bleeping garden.

Build community
Like minded believers, in love.
Together, you’ll figure it out from there

Thanks for the recent observation.
Cheers.
