All together now, raaaaacist!

Via Weekly Standard:

Former President Bill Clinton tried to get former senator Ted Kennedy to endorse Hillary Clinton for president in the 2008 election by describing Barack Obama this way: “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”

This anecdote is revealed in a New Yorker article on the relationship between Bill Clinton and Obama:

Tim Russert told me that, according to his sources, Bill Clinton, in an effort to secure an endorsement for Hillary from Ted Kennedy, said to Kennedy, “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”

Hillary’s just seething with anger. She believes that it was her that should be sitting in the oval office, not the bozo.

Funny stuff.

Is it in the Clinton’s interests to see ObaMA re-elected?

At the time (2008), the story was Bubba told Teddy “a few years ago this guy would have been serving us our coffee”.

Teddy became offended and went ahead and endorsed O.

Since then O and Mooch-elle have all but ignored the Kennedys.

From a brilliant editorial by Daniel Greenfield

"Obama was not sold as a set of positions and a track record, but as a brand. A brand that people were encouraged to feel enthusiastic about or at least comfortable with, using the same techniques that were used to sell soft drinks. Cheerful posters, meaninglessly simple slogans, celebrities, theme songs, merchandise, social media, viral videos, fonts, color schemes, logos and everything else that goes into pushing a billion dollar product from the shelves to the kitchen.

That transition took Hillary Clinton by surprise and hurt her most of all. Hillary had been working the party and the traditional campaign circuit, only to be sidelined by a media centered frenzy that centered around brands, not people. By the old political rules she should have won, but the new rules were in and they weren't political anymore."

"Is it in the Clinton’s interests to see ObaMA re-elected?"

Not if Hillary still wants to try and become president someday. Her only possible shot would be for Romney to win and then fail as miserably as Obama on the economy. Hillary could then come riding in on a white horse in 2016 as the Deus Ex Machina.

Back in 92 I was teaching ARNG Officers. I was informed by a few of them about the disdain the Clinton’s had toward their black officers. This was during the election period. I was told that the Clinton’s used the “N” word often when referring to them. So this is not news to me. Do I believe it? Why would they lie about something like that? (rhet.)

Is Obama paying Clinton off to speak? Will he twist his message to hurt Obama? Something does not seem right with Clinton coming to Obama’s rescue. Not sure it will fool the country. The media may use it to try to fool the country.

To be honest, Obama wouldn’t even be qualified to carry Clinton’s bags. I’m not a fan of BJ Bill either, but he was more of a pragmatist than ideologue, he could see which way the wind was blowing. Obama thinks he can change the direction of the breeze.

“A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”

What do you mean a few years ago, Bill???

He did.

He carried your bag right into the State Department.

Read “The Amateur” to see what Bill Clinton really thinks about Obama. It ain’t nice. But, Clinton will walk up on that stage Wednesday night and tell the world that Obama is the greatest thing since peanut butter and the world will come to an end if Romney is elected. Politicians are the biggest self-serving weasels that ever lived, especially democrats.

Hillary’s just seething with anger. She believes that it was her that should be sitting in the oval office, not the bozo.

That's because, if she had an IQ of 50, she would have.

Hmmmmmm...a memory refresher:
American political writers John Heliemann and Mark Halperin claim in their book, GAME CHANGE, that Mr Clinton made the call to the late ‘Lion of the Senate’ Ted Kennedy, on the day after Mr Obama won a key primary in Iowa (2008).

‘He phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy,’ they wrote.

‘Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, ‘A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.’ ...After Kennedy sided with Obama, Clinton reportedly griped, "the only reason you are endorsing him is because he's black. Let's just be clear."

The top Democrat in the US Senate was also in hot water over racially insensitive comments he made during the 2008 campaign about Mr Obama that are quoted in ‘Game Change.’

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid describing the then Senator Obama as ‘light-skinned’ and ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.’
