broken clock
Even more proof to me Eastwood trolled all of us and was a plant.
You can tell how effective it is by how hysteric the Leftist propaganda bots in the Media are about it.
But Rachel Maddow said it was a disaster. How can I reflexively disagree with both Maher and Maddow? I feel like I’m Faye Dunaway being slapped back and forth by Jack Nicholson in Chinatown.
It was a no-lose proposition for the Republicans. If it didn’t go over well, it was comic relief. If it went over well, big polling uptick.
Big upside, next to no downside.
For my part I found it painful, moreso because I know this is a tier 1 veteran actor/director, and expected a smoother delivery.
“...There was no teleprompter.”
That’s racist!
Maher is nothing more than a rat who understands his ship is sinking—and will grab onto anything that will save him. Even trying to suck up to conservatives. FU Maher and your little pony you came in on.
Bill Maher is a comedian? I always thought he was a jerk.
I’ll admit I thought it was strange, but I also loved seeing him call out the Kenyan and telling him his time was up and he had to go.
Overall, I think the positives of the speech FAR outweighed its weird aspects.
This may be the only time I agree with Maher.
Even if you didn’t like the speech/skit, it took a lot of guts to commit to it and get up there and actually do it.
So does Maher think the timeline on Afghanistan withdrawal is a good idea? That Gitmo should remain open even though Obama promised to close it? What exactly does Maher disagree with?
Maher is a comedian? I don’t think so. Marxists are never funny.

As a performer, as a stand-up comedian for 30 years who knows how hard it is to get laughs, excuse me, he went up there without a net, on a tightrope. There was no teleprompter. He did a bit with just an empty chair and killed,
---------------------------------------------------------
AHHHHHH, but there WAS a TELEPROMPTER. Not just ONE but two, and ALMOST EVERYONE MISSED IT. They, like the chair, were a prop and part of the skit.
I never thought I’d agree with Maher on anything. I don’t understand all the crap being put out there about Eastwood’s performance. It took me all of about 20 seconds to conclude he was playing it like a scene from “Harvey” (the one-man play with Jimmy Stewart and an imaginary rabbit) and using/imitating Jimmy Stewart’s speaking style.
Now why would this goofball say ANYthing remotely positive? He has an ulterior motive.
Maher? As if more than 217 people still cared...
Lefties are now claiming that when Eastwood did that finger slash across his throat he was sending a message that obama should be assassinated. So look for that meme to catch on.
