Rush Limbaugh: Clint Eastwood got under Obamas skin By: Katie Glueck August 31, 2012 02:37 PM EDT
Rush Limbaugh is one of the few people praising Clint Eastwoods rambling performance at the Republican National Convention, saying Friday that the Hollywood legends great bit involving an invisible President Barack Obama in an empty chair got under Obamas skin.
This is a great bit, and Eastwood was the essence of simplicity, Limbaugh said, according to a transcript of his show. How, if somebodys not doing a job, you let em go. Just simple as it could be. Real world simple. Plus, it was hilarious. It was funny. Of course, we are people who like laughing at Obama. The other side doesnt.
Eastwoods description of Obamas 2008 victory speech in Grant Park Oprah was crying, he said especially resonated with the conservative talk show host.
He was talking about Obama and Grant Park after the election, Limbaugh said. All these people, the zombies, are lighting candles. They dont even know why theyre there. They just feel good. But if you ask em why, youd get spaced-out, Oprah-type answers. And then to throw in Oprah was crying? I mean, Im sorry, that hits me right in the heart.
Limbaugh referenced an Obama campaign tweet responding to Eastwoods speech, featuring a photo of the president sitting in a chair and the tagline, This seats taken. That picture, Limbaugh said, was proof that Eastwoods message had rattled the president.

Count me in to!
simply an amazing SPEECH. His speech was off the CUFF! I have some commentary on www.cramerchronicles.com
I don’t have a TV and did not see the convention speeches last night. When I logged in to my computer this morning and saw derogatory comments on Yahoo Business columns about Clint, I knew that Mr. Eastwood hit the communist where it hurts.
Should be a potty chair, coz’ Obama is full of IT!

I do but they're both connected to the internet and I don't have cable/Sat TV/dish/etc and never will have "packaged" programming service again for fear that a part of my money is going to the likes of CBS/NBC/MSNBC/CNN/PBS/...
In about 60 days I want to see photos of a broken chair.
I tend to disagree. IMO, it was well planned and superbly executed. :)
Comic legend cheers Eastwood's 'frazzled' schtick - Touts 'absolutely brilliant' RNC performance
