Forget the “Son of Satan” stuff; apparently someone thought it was “artistic,” but it just comes off as a terrible photo.

I guess I am more surprised that people are surprised by this depiction of Ryan by the NYT.

Not a terrible photo from the NYT point of view. They want him to look small, insignificant, and out of place. Looks like the only way they can do that is photographically.
Very deliberate. Very intentional. Very telling.

Oh FREEPERS....Come on. If you look at that, I don’t get that impression at all. The way this propaganda story is I thought that was going to be the title. Too sensative for such a dishonest story.

The NYT has identified itself as a niche market so their opinion really isn't important.
NYT's Abramson rebuts Brisbane charge ....""In our newsroom we are always conscious that the way we view an issue in New York is not necessarily the way it is viewed in the rest of the country or world. I disagree with Mr. Brisbane's sweeping conclusions [Progressive worldview 'bleeds through' the Times] ," Abramson told POLITICO Saturday night.
"I agree with another past public editor, Dan Okrent, and my predecessor as executive editor, Bill Keller, that in covering some social and cultural issues, the Times sometimes reflects its urban and cosmopolitan base," she continued."

IMO, it seems to try to portray Ryan being pushed forward by dark men in the background, pulling strings for dastardly purposes.

I think they wanted to run a photoshopped picture of him beheading a senior citizen, but they were worried about offending their Muslim friends.

So.. If Obama had a son, he’d look like Paul Ryan??
Who knew?

The Communist Left is petrified that Romney-Ryan is about to destroy their demonic messiah at the polls in November.
They are thinking "all those years of planning and lying and scheming...for what?"
Make no mistake, this is war...only the shooting hasn't yet started.

I like the picture. To me he looks like a sweet, nice guy who is the only real and honest guy in a room full of no face politicians. Only he in the picture emerges as real. All those guys behind him are phony and probably Democrats.

I’d fault the RNC for giving the NYT the opportunity to capture that.
They’ve had too much of that blazing red background behind the speakers, though it seems they used it less after the first day.

A transparent and clumsy attempt to diminish Paul Ryan by composing a photo of him with (a) a 'flaming' red background, (b) larger, shadowy men behind him and, (c) Ryan cut off so that he appears to be about three feet tall. This probably pleases the Marxists at the New York Times who, no doubt, think they are clever beyond belief but most observers can see it as the puerile attempt at mockery and insult that it really is. Besides that, few Americans actually see (or read) The New York Times anymore and their attempt to denigrate Paul Ryan with this lame photo will have no effect on the election.
