I think Ryan was effective at showing the Libs as presenting the boogie man to young minds full of mush.
My son lives in Tampa..just came from there.
By now, we should be on to the fact that the media hypes these fake “hurricanes’ to get ratings. This is a storm with rain..and nothing more.
Lefty professors are at it at my son’s college. Some jerk teaching “sociology” busted out of the gate with some pro-homo crap about Chick Fil A, per my son’s report, on the first day of class.
What does THIS have to do with sociology??
I feel these profs need to be monitored. We parents are DUPED into paying these ginormous tuitions, and yet it’s like sending our sheep to the slaughter.
As parents, I believe we should be able to DEMAND accountability — that these professors STICK TO the topics at hand and keep their politics OUT of the classroom.
Stick a fork in Mr. Obama. We have two months of optimism and a can do spirit staring at the socialist statists. They will have no answer that the American people will like. The upcoming debates should continue to show the country how tangibly bankrupt the Democrat party has become. Beware though, cornered rats can cause harm.
No doubt. Honestly...if it comes to a choice...I’d rather see us hold the house and get a majority rule in the senate than just take the presidency.
Good one....and very topical, too, hee, hee.
I'm giddy tonight!

WE MUST!
There is no other choice.
Brit Hume on Greta, saying no one votes for the VEEP........In this election, I think more people than NOT will be voting for RYAN vice the Pres
You are so right..but it will never change for good unles more of us go into the teaching profession and change the game.
Well said. My old sociology professor is still at the University of Maryland... I remember standing up in class disgusted as he was talking about a prison riot and siding with the inmates on the conditions of the prisons... whining that there was no air conditioning or cable TV, etc. I stood up and asked him if he recommends a country club for murderers and rapists. The response? A well rehearsed and condescending line about treating people humanely. Sadly, he had more than half of the class brainwashed by the end of the semester.
Well there you have it!
Tinklepants hated it...that means it was perfect. I wonder if Olberman survived the speech?
Fox is becoming irrelevant. It is sad really. They are letting Rovian elitist politics destroy what made them good.....HONESTY!!
Now this is how to run a convention. Ryan pretty much knocked it out of the park. If he can actually make me think for half a minute that Romney might be an acceptable candidate, he’s GOT to be good. Ryan in an easy, unforced way (I’m looking at you, Ann Romney) seemed like an all-American, down-to-earth, relatable guy. The indictment of Obama was quite strong and hard to argue with. He definitely came off as a competent, intelligent guy with a vision, enough to counteract the image that he might be too young and not ready for the presidency. I might have dumbed the speech down a little, put in a little more “kitchen sink” type of examples to give people an idea of the scale and seriousness of the debt. But that’s just a minor point.
I liked the Martinez and Condi speeches too. A “conversion” story like Martinez’ is always a good thing. I wasn’t listening to Condi’s closely at first, but it got my attention in the middle and I watched the rest of it. I liked the unbashed patriotism of it. Saw a little bit of Huck’s, which seemed good too, but he lost me when he name-dropped Bono.
I agree....for one of the few times of late, I am turning back and forth between FAUX and CNN to see what is being said...(frankly, they all suck, but I am too energized to just shut off the TV ;-)
I think I am going to watch the re-run of tonights festivities on C-Span when it comes on in a bit...
Dennis Miller posted on Facebook:
After watching Paul Ryan’s speech, Joe Biden just entered the Federal Witness Relocation Program.
ROTFLMAO!!!! Perfect way to end a great night! Thanks for posting it.
LMAO! That is priceless! I adore Dennis Millers wit and comedic timing!
Laurence O’Donnell is peeing his pants too.
Whining about Janesville GM plant and how it was Bushes fault.
Gee, I thought Obama ripped us off for like 680 billion to save GM.
And they both referenced the Greek columns.
