Robert Gibbs: Angry night full of insults By: Kevin Cirilli August 29, 2012 12:06 AM EDT
In Tampa to lead the pushback for President Barack Obamas campaign, top adviser Robert Gibbs said Tuesday that the first night of the Republican National Convention was angry and strange and full of insults.
Im kind of flabbergasted at the whole night, Gibbs said on MSNBC after Gov. Chris Christies keynote speech. It seemed first and foremost like this was a very angry convention tonight full of insults.
He said that the nights speakers, including House Speaker John Boehner, did not capture the struggles most Americans particularly women are facing.
It bore just no real resemblance to whats going on in their party. It bore no real resemblance to whats going on in the country. I think it was a very, very strange night, he said, later adding, The night was sort of highlighted by lots of anger and lots of insults.

Are you sure the speakers are going to get tough, though?
I think Gibbs was expecting the RNC Convention speakers to do nothing but praise Obama’s record of stellar accomplishments, and beg the audience to re-elect him.
Anything short of that obviously comes off as “angry” and, no doubt, racist.
or maybe a good Rudolf Hess.
Hess: Am I dreaming or am I awake - that is the question of the moment! I am sitting in the Chancellor’s office in the Wilhelmsplatz. Senior civil servants approach noiselessly on soft carpets to submit documents “for the Reich Chancellor”.... Outside, the public stands patiently, packed together and waiting for `him’ to drive away - they start to sing the national anthem and shout “Heil” to the “Führer” ... and then I start to shake and I have to clench my teeth ...
The truth hurts.
Perhaps it is because we are angry and upset about your admin. doing one heck of a purposeful job at destroying America? Noooooo, that couldn't be it.
You're just pissed off we have finally caught onto you and are using YOUR tactics AGAINST YOU!!
Go p!$$ in the wind you faggot.
>> Misquoted. What he said was Im kind of a fat bastard.... Lisp thing.
ROFLMAO
Poor little wuss; bet the convention brings back horrible memories of his junior high school years, when he spent the period after gym class stuffed into a locker.
Im kind of flabbergasted at the whole night,
I’m kind of flabbergasted at Gibbs’ flab.
If the shoe fits....
I bet the MoFo didn’t even watch it.
Gibbs dutifully recited the axelgreasy script, that’s all.
To be honest the small segment about Obama saying there will be bumps
In the road made me cry. My husband has been one of those bumps for the last four years . It hurts to watch him on Sunday waiting for the phone to ring to see if there is work for him. So if using obamas own comments are mean to bad.
He means it was full of Democrats? Stealing the canapes?
Gibbs is scratching the surface. If he could read my mind!... He would blush..
YES even Gibbs would blush..
ANGRY!!?.. He has no idea... Actually he would be a little afraid..
I hear the DNC is looking for a group of competent Democrats so that they can showcase them at the convention.
Yes Robert we are angry and we are tired of Obama and you insulting our intelligence.....
Start looking for another job.
Oh that’s right there aren’t any because of your bosses failed policies........
More trash talk from the 30 IQ apes at Politico.
"Woman, thy name is Julia"
Bingo. Speak the language of the people who vote. Don't look unhinged. Point out facts for all to see, which is all you need to prove the left to be the liars they are. No need to call them liars when you can easily show and prove they are liars.
I think the best thing done last night was to visually refute the Democratic lie that hate and extremism resides in the Republican Party.
