Saw this on Twitter.. But is true Neil Armstrong has died..
Condolences to his family.
RIP.
He truly had the right stuff.
Now, he soars among the stars, no longer fettered to this Earth.
Thank You Lord for a true American hero. Please watch over and bless his family. Make them aware of a nation’s gratitude for what this man accomplished for all of us.
RIP great American and pioneer.
RIP Mr. Armstrong.
Go with God.
Sad to hear, but if anyone can say they “had a good run”, Neil Armstrong can. One small step for a man...
Back at ground control
There is a problem
“Go to rockets full”
No responding
“Hello Major Tom, are you receiving?”
“Turn the thrusters on we are standing by”
No reply
4, 3, 2, 1...
Chorus:
Earth below us
Drifting, falling
Floating weightless
Calling, calling home...
Across the stratosphere
A final message: “Give my wife my love”
Then nothing more
Far beneath the ship
The world is mourning
They don’t realize he’s alive
No one understands but Major Tom sees
Now the lights command
“This is my home”
“I’m coming home”
Chorus:
Thanks for this, Kevin. We had a family friend, Astronaut Sonny Carter.

Goodbye sir. You truly are an historic figure.
I can vividly remember watching that moon landing in the boys dorm recreation room. No one knew for sure what was going to happen.
Armstrong was also one of the pioneer test pilots who brought in the jet age and then rocket power.
Last of the truly humble heroes.
It is far past time that other have been farther out there than he.
Wish he’d been able to stick around to see our space program back in action after obumbles.
At any rate, rest well Sir.
Cue the state funeral, with Obama Epic! speech, in the middle of the Republican Convention, to steal the RNCs thunder. Damn, I wish this wasnt so predictable.
I know he was a private guy who shunned the spotlight, but what is that, compared to THE GLORY OF THE MESSIAH OBAMA?
He honestly deserves all the accolades he will receive. But, I hope the family decides to keep it low key.
It’s very embarrassing as an American to know that he died when the manned program has basically hit rock-bottom.
As a young child, space exploration fascinated me. I would watch every shuttle launch and read everything I could about astronauts and space exploration. Rest in peace, Mr. Armstrong.
