Earlier this week, Senator Al Franken of Minnesota joined Vice President Joe Biden for a campaign event in Minnesota.
"Biden got plenty of support from Minnesota Democrats," PostBulletin.com reports. "Sen. Al Franken praised Obama for pushing the health care law, saying it will help more seniors get help paying for prescriptions and will ensure Medicare's solvency for an additional eight years."
But before Franken was a senator he was a writer on the TV show Saturday Night Live. Then, he famously joked about raping CBS reporter Lesley Stahl.
As New York magazine reported in 1995, from a writing session that the reporter sat in on:
Franken: And, I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesleys passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her. Or, Thats why you never see Lesley until February. Or, When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.

Al Franken.....the genital wart on the body politic.
Now, that is disgusting, truly disgusting. It's in no sense a joke; it's just disgusting.
I sure hope that all the folks that trash Akin for his mistake will save a little venom and outrage for Al Franken!
Thanks for posting this.
when you look at liberal politicians, it’s getting harder and harder to tell the difference between the obnoxious comedians and the guys who are serious.....
The real problem with this country are not people like Obama and Franken but morons who would vote for them.
You're right. And let's not forget BJ too!
And Bill Clinton, a serial rapist and repeat offender sexual harasser, will be KEYNOTE speaker at the 2012 DNC Convention.
Nancy Pelosi never bothered to trim out that Culture of Corruption in politics she once spoke of. The Democrat War On Women continues.
Insufficient people voted for Al Frankenfraud. He stole a Senate seat and passed Obamacare.
And, it's just a guess (well, maybe more than a guess), but I strongly suspect that old BJ is still committing the same old crimes. I don't think he is, as they say, "amenable to rehabilitation."
More of a cause and effect problem.
Remembering a Sixties Terrorist By Donna Ron FrontPageMagazine.com | Wednesday, January 04, 2006
It's not a lengthy article. Here is a portion of it some may find quite interesting in light of the current discussion.
Bill Ayers apartment was around the corner and a half a block away from the sorority house. The more time I spent there, the more out of place I felt with my sisters. Sometimes I would stop by just to keep from having to go back to a place I had begun to think of as boring. I guess it was one of those evenings -- maybe on the way back from the library, maybe just to get out of the sorority house, I dont remember exactly. What I do recall is that when I was getting ready to leave Ayers told me I couldnt go until I slept with his roommate and his brother. At this point Bill and I had slept together just once. I was sexually inexperienced, having had only one serious boyfriend with whom I had recently broken up.At first I thought Ayers was joking. I got up; and went to the door. He moved quickly to block me at the doorway. He locked the door and put the chain on it. I went to the couch and sat down and told him that I had no intention of having sex with his roommate and his brother or him. He said that I had no choice but to do as he said if I wanted to get out of there. He claimed that I wouldnt sleep with his married roommate because he was black -- that I was a bigot. I had gone to school with black kids and had them as friends all my life. I couldnt believe he was saying that to me
I felt trapped. I had to get out of the situation I was in and because he was so effective a guilt-tripper, I also felt I had to prove to him that I wasnt a bigot. I got up from the couch and walked over to the black roommates bed and put myself on it and he ****ed me. I went totally out of my body. I floated beside myself on the outside and above the bed looking at this black stranger **** me angrily while I hated myself.
After that I had to go lie down on Bill Ayers bed for his brother to screw me. Rick Ayers was a decent person, unlike his brother, and couldnt go through with it He started and stopped and let me go. I also thought I had to let Bill screw me but at that point he unbolted the door and I left.
I remember going back to the sorority house and talking to my best girlfriend and telling her what had happened. But there were no words yet to describe it. There was no term date rape yet in our political vocabulary. The notion of a psychological rape was not on the table.
Franken was a crass comic and writer in television. By its nature comedy goes places well out of bounds. MN voters knew all about his career and the kinds of things he wrote or said in that capacity.
Akin was speaking as a member of congress and candidate for U.S. Senate. STOP DEFENDING HIM!
Todd Akin has got to go!
Al Franken must possess a single digit IQ.
