> I have decided not to vote for ANYONE at all this year. After all, it’s only one vote and I am voting my conscience. Plus in the last few days, I have discovered that there really isn’t a dimes worth of difference between anyone running. There are certainly NO men running for POTUS that have any balls or conscience.

You get ONE chance to register your opinion for the actual record, I would not throw that away. Instead of NOT voting, consider write-ins or third parties, like Goode for president.

Hell, after this fiasco, any woman on the Republican ticket would probably do well. If it comes to that, I shall vote for her.

“isn’t it too late to make him leave without a court order?”
*****************************************************************
Nobody (legally or not) can “make him leave”. He has to gin up the wisdom and courage to do it on his own. It’s possible that he is just mentally and spiritually not capable of doing the right thing.

Or, as a VERY remote possibility, he may actually be evil and want to bring down or do damage to conservatives, the pro-life agenda and our nation. While I don’t think that Akin himself is evil, I do think that some of the folks influencing him now are evil.

He used a "wrong" word? No he basically said women have a magic vagina fairy that use their secret magical powers to turn away rapist sperm.

Right, use of the wrong word. I believe you've seen the plausible medical evidence that 'forcible' rape causes high stress that would adversely effect pregnancy, and besides, Akin has profusely apologized.

The calculating party RINOs see this as an opportunity to remove a social conservative from the election equation and you guys fall for it.

So which is it, are you as nuts as Akin, or are you a shill for Obama Claire?

That would be you and the fools. The more the Rs keep harping on Akin as time goes by, it better the chances that McCaskill wins.

BTW, Rush is not sure if Akin is a drag on R&R, or is it necessary to keep on harping at him. Like shooting yourself in the foot.

What party is known as the stupid party? Yeah, we know who.

Even if this story does die down, Akin is probably going to give himself another swift kick to the tonsils before the election -- the guy just tends to let his mouth run on turbocharge mode while his brain is sitting in neutral.

Not as much as they love blithering idiots. McCaskill loves them so much in fact that she spent $2 million backing the biggest blithering idiot she could find in the GOP primary. Seems to have worked out quite well for her, not to mention Democrats nation-wide who can now run on a wedge issue that gives them cover from having to explain the horrendous economy.

I think he’s lived in a bubble for so long, winning easy reelection victories in a highly conservative district, that he simply doesn’t understand how to play ball in the political big leagues.

You have hit the nail on the head. And I live in Akin's district, and I have voted for him.

Not sure... But that Presidential poll that’s been getting a lot of focus for showing Romney closing on Obama, also shows Mack trailing Nelson by 9 pts... That may be a tough road there as well.

A woman experiencing chronic, high levels of stress can certainly have problems with conceiving or successfully completing a pregnancy, but that’s not the same thing as the stress caused by a singular violent incident.

And what happens when the Obama Scampaign Team starts to make this connection....?

Which is, I’m betting, their intention all along. I really don’t think the Akin fiasco was a mere gaffe.

Rush seems to think Akin is a ‘good guy’. I’m not sure that’s true. And it points to a recurring issue/question that, as a conservative, I’ve had about many GOPers. Is Akin really that stupid? If so, he doesn’t belong in office anyway. Certainly not on the GOP ticket. If not, he’s a traitor to the right.

Either way, it’s not good for our efforts to oust Obama this November and gain control back in government. I’m thinking that instead of having one big October surprise, we’ll be seeing a lot of little mini-surprises (like this one) between now and then.

I fear you are correct. Akin has been surrounded by his PCA buds most of his life. Frankly, the RNC and his staff should have had a "coach" work with him before he walked the gauntlet of media shows. Obama is using John Kerry (playing Romney) to hone his debate skills. Why not bring in someone to help Akin BEFORE he screwed up so badly?

Too late of course for any of that. May be too late for many things...

This is consistent with the PPP poll when that poll is corrected for the +9 oversample of Republicans.

Fret not, it's his divine destiny to be the nominee against McCaskill and a dozen or so Freepers are too happy join in the self-immolation rather than fight against McCaskill's sudden new inevitability.

Akin had better go and soon.

Is Akin really that stupid?

All I know is that I was at a Navy conference this Spring, Akin was the last speaker one of the days, and EVEN THOUGH I AGREED WITH EVERYTHING HE SAID (generic comments about how a strong Navy is good, etc.) I left after 15 minutes because I thought he was a babbling idiot.

No you're doing the job for McCaskill. And McCaskill got lucky as that was desperate move running ads in support of who she perceived as the most conservative because in her idiotic mind she thinks it was a game changing wedge issue for just being a social conservative. However, the ad was more to motivate her goofy base, the kook-aid drinking Moonbats than with straight thinking voters. It was Akin who made his own mess here without McCaskill.

This is really a tangent side issue being used by PhxTM06.
