:: Unless things have changed drastically, only those who intend to apply to colleges take the ACT or SAT exams. ::
Things have changed drastically, Will. The Board Exams are offered a preparatory class on the High School’s class schedule. Students receive HS credit regardless of score. There are some schools (in MI) that offer HS credit for middle-school students to take the “early version” (my daughter scored a 24 in her 8th grade year).
When I took the ACT, perfect was 32. Prior to that, perfect was 28 (my sister scored a 27!)

Will County to declare independence from Cook County Democrats
The Will County Republican Party, Tea Party activists, elected Will County leaders, and concerned citizens say they will be rallying at the Will County Courthouse September 10, 2012 to protest “the Balkanization of Will County citizens by Cook County Democrats.”
Will County Republican Chairman Ed Ronkowski said, “With redistricting, the Chicago Machine has sliced Will County into six pieces, half of which belong to Chicago Democrats. Will County Democrats stood by silently and allowed this to happen, essentially turning Will County into Will Colony. On September 10th, we will declare our independence.”
Republicans in Will County are staging an active campaign to elect a conservative Republican for county chairman along with county officials and county board members. The area Tea Party movement is promoting conservative policies in the county by working within the Republican Party.
More to come ...
