Just finished interview on FOX. Akin should step aside, otherwise Steelman should run 3rd party, which she would support.
A FReeper said there was a sore loser law in MO, and a failed candidate could not then run as an independent. I don’t know if that is true or not.
who on earth do you think is behind all this stop Akin stuff?
Steelman is a homewrecker, we need to be better than that
A Steelman third-party run would absolutely guarantee a McCaskill victory. Dumb idea.
Yes, the sore loser law is real. Steelmam can not run as an independent or write in. If a voter writes in her name it will not be counted. Shame on Palin for not checking the law before entering the fray!
“You want a Hickenlooper? Do yah!”
I can’t tell if that is a threat or a proposition...
McCaskill is probably already guareenteed to win against Akin alone!
“Shame on Palin for not checking the law before entering the fray!”
That is what I was afraid of. She cannot afford to make that kind of gaffe.
If I lived in MO and the only candidates available were Akin and the Democrat, I would write in Mickey Mouse.
Does it include a happy ending?
Pffffftttt....whatever. I care more for the sentiment.
Sarah appeared very angry in this interview and I’m sure there is a silver lining in that with her frustration with other forces....ie the GOPE
I figure Palin knows it. She was giving props to Steelman to keep her name in major contention for being chosen as a replacement if Akin does indeed step down before Sept 25.
McCaskill is going to win anyway at this point. After thinking it over I’m leaning toward a third party run as a way for the GOP to distance themselves from Akin and save the rest of the ticket.
You are right. Unless Akin withdraws, we are stuck with him. We supported Brunner but at the last minute I switched to Steelman, but either one would be preferable to Akin. What idiotic thing will he say next?
And do you think Akin can defeat McCaskill with his sudden baggage?
Plenty of unqualified FReepers, apparently.
