ABOARD A US MILITARY AIRCRAFT — US military chief General Martin Dempsey denounced ex-officers Tuesday for waging a campaign against President Barack Obama, arguing that soldiers had a duty to stay above the political fray.
Wading into a potential minefield during a hotly contested White House race, Dempsey voiced his disapproval of a group of retired military members and CIA officers who have accused Obama of spilling sensitive national security details to help secure his re-election.
Asked if the group's criticism was valid or useful, Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said he would not comment on the substance of their allegations.
But he added: "As to the latter, is it useful? No, it's not useful. It's not useful to me."

These high ranking 4 star generals are nothing but political butt kissers. They screw the troops to make their own gain. I dealt with many, many of these types in my 20 years. They were political officers, in the game to punch their tickets and make that next grade, on the backs of the troops. I had some really great officers also who cared for the men and women and would break their butts for us, and most of the time get into trouble for doing it. I frankly can say that I did not like 80% of the officers I worked under. My NCOs by a massive margin were better than the stinking political officers.

they served their country. they might have to keep their mouths shut while serving, (which i do not think is totally a good idea, like, you shouldn’t be required to obey and unlawful order, see the nuremburg sp? trials).
No stupid general ought to get himself involved in the politics of citizens, which he is talking about, in other words, he is getting into the fray, and taking sides.
