Amen Jim. I had already drawn the same conclusions. We’ll get Romney elected, then we’ll hold his RINO feet to the fire! It gives me great, great hope that he chose Paul Ryan. The base is energized. Lets take the White House, House and Senate and set things right. First line of business is to get the usurper out of OUR White House!

God bless ya Jim! And thank you for all you do!

When Obama first set foot in the political arena to run for President, we didn't know squat about him and the media made sure it stayed that way until after the election.

They kept everything about this guy under wraps and buried any story that would portray him in any kind of negative light.

Obama was elected on gravitas and little else.

Now we know enough about this guy to know that he is bad news, even those living under the liberal media umbrella knows all about what Obama is and what he stands for. We know that Obama will take this country down a path that it will never recover from and to be honest I'm surprised we survived the first term.

With what we now know, Obama should have and approval rate in the single digits and nothing even close to 50%!!!!

I just don't get it.

Thank you, Jim!

It’s a tough decision, but I’m glad you see the alternative to Mittens as far far worse than another 4 years of the Bork Ogabe Regime.

The Ryan choice is the best thing that could happen and, in my mind, confirms that Romney is NOT going to implement RomneyCare as much as people have speculated here.

"...I've spent the last sleepless night over this miserable situation..." More people should be doing the same. We need more people to give a damn but too many are too concerned only with their usual interests: sports, entertainment, fashion, etc. We're playing our fiddle while America falls... I thank God for you Jim. Your leadership is critically important to our country. TEA Party Girl

I agree 100 percent with you Jim. As you may have noticed, I recently came to this same decision and it was not easy for me, just as I know it was agonizing for you as well.

Our united bottom line has to be the removal of that douche bag 0bama from OUR White House. I don’t like Romney any more than you do, but with Tea Party support and with conservative candidates elected down ticket, we can hopefully have our own checks and balances on any liberal shenanigans that Romney might try to pull, and I’m hopeful that Paul Ryan will be a meaningful voice and influence in a Romney Administration. We can’t gamble America’s future or our children’s future on 4 more years of 0bamugabe.

The Lord be with you Jim, the Lord be with us all.

Thank you for this. I know it’s a difficult decision, but I believe it is what’s in the best interests of the country.

Jim,

While the political season is often about political destruction, I think it is a duty of each and every conservative to work both from the top-down (through influencing, shaming, and sometimes screaming at elected officials) and from the bottom-up (through personal behavior, discussing issues calmly with those who would listen, and turning back anger with well-humored sarcasm).

You do more than your share, just through your leadership on this board. You certainly speak your mind, and in a well-reasoned manner that is more likely to sway the persuadable.

I’m speaking to myself, and others like me out here in the hinterlands. We need to be brave in dealing with the dem zombies, because there are always a few who might be reached, and every one is a potential soldier in the cause of individual freedom and personal responsibility.

For those that are truly lost, surround, neutralize, and ignore them. But if their eyes show that their ears can hear reason, let’s give them something to listen to!

Okay - enough of my ranting, and “Thank you for your support!” (/Bartles & Jaymes)

Epiphanies happen.....and we’re all struggling with this situation. I think we might just have a chance if we all stand shoulder to shoulder and boot the evil one out of our white house.

It will need a thorough scouring afterwards!!

If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.

In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might.

Thanks for saying this loud and clear. Most of us would have preferred one of the other candidates, but here we are. Better a Romney with Paul Ryan’s influence than another day of what we have now.

Are Americans of all faiths allowed to sign on to this course of action or is it limited to only approved religions?

Been praying much for this election. Will continue to do so.
We MUST work to get out the vote, Vote OBAMA OUT, and then start holding some feet to the fire seriously in January 2013~
Thank you Jim!

To come to this conclusion was clearly very tough for you - as it has been for many of us.

I believe Ryan - while NOT perfect by any means- does have character and integrity and would simply not associate himself in this way with Romney if he weren’t convinced of something that we may not all see clearly.

I don’t know if you’ve read this- but here’s an article in the NYT (of all places) that discusses how and why Ryan came to become an advisor to Romney- and eventually his VP choice. It shows this has been a far from one-sided relationship...Ryan has been giving input for a long time.
