After a week marred by a not-ready-for-prime-time staffer who had movement conservatives questioning Team Romney’s competence, sanity, and willingness to fight the brass-knuckles White House and Chicago thug operatives, the Romney campaign made the right decision.
And the Right decision
Paul Ryan is fresh, young, energetic, smart, courageous, and ready for prime time.
Paul Ryan is a policy wonk AND a front-line warrior whose budget and long-term entitlement reforms have the entire Dem-Soros-lapdog media machine unhinged.
Paul Ryan is ready to fight false media narratives.
Paul Ryan is battle-tested against the White House.
Paul Ryan won’t cut and run when the going gets tough.

I dont’ know much as I should about Ryan but what you have put out is what everyone in the country should see.

Ryan not only shows that Romney is serious about ending obamacare, but that he has a plan for replacing it with a market driven approach. Ryan will be a lightning rod for the left because he has the plan that fixes entitlements and healthcare without empowering the political class to control our lives. We really have a choice between adults (Romney/Ryan) and the nanny state (obama/biden). The question we will find the answer to in this election is do we really want to be a free people, or do we want to be taken care of by the state.
My first thought was this will cost Romney Florida which he would have won handily. I’m not so sure now how this will play out. He can always dump him if the poll numbers get really bad.
And we know how that turns out.
It only took the Obama White House a few minutes to respond to the Ryan pick along the lines of we regret that Romney has chosen to sacrifice seniors and the middle class with this VP choice. I think the comments went over the head of the Dems comic book constituency. They are lining up the wheel chairs and blue haired ladies for a group action photo at the side of the cliff to make sure it registers with their dullard constituency.Ryan is an excellent in your face choice.The Republicans just have to keep repeating the mantra that “It does not affect anyone over age 55” until it registers.After a while the wheel chairs and cliffs will get old
I couldn't agree more. Representative Ryan was a very good choice. It has me excited about Mitt's candidacy for the first time. The fear that “this will cost Romney 10 points” is nonsensical. That is the spin I expect to hear from the major news media pundits; that probably the best they have got right now. Most of Romney's support comes from people who will be very happy about this pick. This is more likely to give Gov. Romney at least a short term bounce from the undecideds and the enthusiasm that he needs from the base. I expect that this will also cause an additional influx of campaign money from both people and businesses.
55-and-under plans are not serious. That should have been done 20 years ago.
It does nothing about today’s massive deficit. It kicks the can 10 years done the road which is to say to oblivion.
Retirement needs to be raised to 70 immediately. Then there will be no new beneficiaries for 5 years.
Then in 10 years retirement will have to be redefined as unable to work and Medicare/SS will be a pure disability system for the bulk of baby boomers.
Arbitrary formulas designed to squeeze the system are unworkable as well.
They simply break systems which then require new formulas to make up the losses.
Where does Ryan stand on military healthcare? military retirees?
There is a disconnect between what needs to be done and what people will vote for.
People will not vote for major cuts announced in advance, even if they don’t take effect for 10 years.
The NON-TEA-PARTY - 75% of voters - are bent on riding the current system to ultimate collapse before giving anything up.

I'll admit my ignorance as to the mottoes of the various states.
My only exposure to the word has been from its Socialistic roots and the current pResidents usage of the term.
Can’t say I know any other state’s mottos either! :-) And for many years, WI has been a “progressive” i.e., liberal state. I have been amazed and delighted at the election results in 2010 and after!

There is a good reason that Rubio is NOT on that list. He is no Conservative....a big Dream Act suporter & big trouble managing his own finances.
You need to do some homework on Rubio!!!
What makes Biden likable is his complete lack of self-awareness. He's a clueless goofball, but sees himself as a towering intellect. He will bluster and filibuster Ryan during the debate, lose on substance, but sport that grin while mingling with the crowd after the debate, remembering his own imagined brilliance.
