This would be a good choice if there was a conservative at the top of the ticket.
Blame Shame Flame or Beg I wont be voting for R/R..
To: Brandonmark
Because of course Ryan is going to be in his hometown instead of washington where he actually spends most of his time

From Catholic Vote today:
Paul Ryan, Representative from Wisconsin's 1st District
Life
Co-sponsored the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.
Voted to amend the health care law so that no federal funds may be used to pay for any part of any healthcare plan that offers abortion coverage.
Voted for the Abortion Pain Bill and the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act.
Voted to prohibit partial birth abortion.
Marriage
Voted for a resolution proposing a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as the union between one man and one woman.
Voted against repealing Dont Ask Dont Tell.
Religious liberty
Voted for the Religious Liberty Protection Act of 1999.
On the HHS mandate: This is much, much bigger than about contraception. This is about religious freedom, First Amendment rights, and how this progressive philosophy of fungible rights of a living breathing constitution really clashes and collides with these core rights that we built our society and country around.
Embryonic life
Voted against the Stem Cell Research Act of 2007, which would have required the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct and support research on embryonic stem cells.
Voted in favor of developing methods to produce stem cells without using human embryos.
School choice
Voted in favor for school vouchers in Washington, D.C.

I suppose so - if we want to come in a fairly close second.
To: Brandonmark
I like Ryan. Great choice. This means that they are going to double-down on economic issues, but they have to be very careful not to turn the campaign into a pedantic snoozefest.

Who are you voting for?If it's not Obama then it has to be the Constitution, Green, whatever party. But that's irrelevant. If he's not voting then he's clueless to begin with.

My source tells me all three of NBC’s sources are named Harry Reid.
But anyhoo, I hope it is Ryan, he’s a solid pick. :)

OK, Ok, ok...Ryan isn't the worst pick..but not sexy at all...plus he has negatives. At least he is conservative fiscally (which I LOVE). Just hand out free Mary-Jane the day of the election to keep the youngsters out or we will get killed.

Fox News reporting... some “Republican official speaking on condition of anonymity” told the AP that Romney’s VP choice IS Paul Ryan.

Romney/Ryan will preach fiscal conservatism and B.O. will preach relaxation of student loan debt. Bet on it :^(
