This will be the news of the day.
He needs a VP candidate now to go after Obama so he doesn’t have to directly.

I was almost prepared to stay home too, but if Romney picks Ryan-or Rubio or Jindal- I will RUN to my polling place with hope for the future.
If we stay home, there is NO hope!

Ryan is at about 80% on Intrade. Up from about 20% a few hours ago.
To: moonshot925

Four years ago some FReepers were following a private plane flying from Alaska to Ohio (they noted the plane's tail number, if I remember correctly). Because of that information, several of us suspected McCain's VP pick would be Gov. Sarah Palin...
several hours before she was announced in Dayton, Ohio.
Anyone watching the skies tonight? ;-)

If it’s Ryan, I’m very happy. Finally a reason to vote for Romney. Again I’m voting for a VP!

Hope this is true.
BTW, a bit of trivia concerning the battleship Wisconsin. Her bow is actually from her incomplete sister, Kentucky. The Navy was making plans to convert Kentucky into a guided-missile battleship when Wisconsin was damaged in a collision and had her bow crushed. They removed the required section from Kentucky and repaired Wisconsin with it. There are markers on Wisconsin showing where the patching took place.
