Liberals don't want to jinx it. It terrifies the right. And the press would prefer a nail-biter. But the fact is that finding Romney's path to victory is getting harder every day.
There's a secret lurking behind everything you're reading about the upcoming election, a secret that all political insiders know—or should—but few are talking about, most likely because it takes the drama out of the whole business. The secret is the electoral college, and the fact is that the more you look at it, the more you come to conclude that Mitt Romney has to draw an inside straight like you've never ever seen in a movie to win this thing. This is especially true now that it seems as if Pennsylvania isn't really up for grabs. Romney's paths to 270 are few.

Nobody (even Romney) has been proven half as destructive as Obama. At the very least, Romney understands that what might be aceptable 9even if not right) at State level is not right at the National level. While he is too liberal for my liking, he has stated he would overturn ObamaCare, has stated that he thinks Roe vs. Wade should be overturned, conceded that even as he is not anti-homosexual, that businesses and the People have the right to not be forced into embracing homosexuality, has business/economic acumen and did manage to make Massachusetts a little more pro-business despite having a heavily Democratic set of politicians to have to work with/around. Not "Christian" enough for you - the government is not a religious theocracy and shouldn't be. Bush is Christian and still managed to bollix things up with his "compassionate conservatism". To say there is no difference is like saying that, on the surface, a dog turd and a Tootsie Roll appear to be much the same, so they must be the same. Please tell me, with some real conviction, how allowing Obama a second term will be beneficial to us and I'll jump on the bandwagon. Until then, this chicke-coop resident will vote for the Chihuaua instead of giving the fox another term to continue trying to satiate his appetite for chewing on the flesh of Freedom and trashing the Constitution to all our demise. What he has already wrought will take years/decades to undo if we actually end up with a conservative majority - given another 4 years, with no thoughts of being reelected (if we still have anything that resembles real elections) and he just might tip it so far that another revolutionary war is the only hope, and the government is already ensconced on the mainland and very well armed. Other than "voting your conservative/Christian principles", what is your idea of how the end game might play out? You must have some vision that makes stopping Romney the most important, and rational, goal of your life....right? If any of you actually had some sense of how it will/would play out, instead of spouting that there's no difference, the lesser of two evils is still evil, and other heart-string quips, then I'll gladly put a STOP ROMNEY AT ALL COSTS bumper sticker on my car and join your chorus. Until then, I'llray for a miracle but I won't count on one as my last ray of hope.

He thinks that Roe v Wade should be overturned = while still supporting PP through his wife and doing everything he can to keep it in place.
He not only is not “anti-homosexual,” he has proven that he wants to push their radical agenda. By the way, opponents on this issue are not anti-homosexual. That would imply hate, which is not there. They are pro-family and pro-USA.
On the surface, he made Mass. more pro-business. This appears true until you realize that his “lower taxes” were renamed as mandatory fees and fewer deductions.
I will not vote for that. If we accept that on the GOP “side”, then we get the same level of destruction as Obama and the quality of the candidates continues to slide. Aside from that, for me it is wrong to vote for such a man as this. I have looked long and hard for redeeming qualities to give me an excuse to vote for him, to no avail.
Allowing a second Obama term is not beneficial. However, neither is allowing a first Romney term. We, the voters, have painted ourselves into a corner. There is no “win” in this election.

My preferred candidate and her family were so mauled by the MSM (with no other conservatives coming to her defense) that she decided not to expose them further by running for POTUS. But she has been very successful in endorsing and supporting solid conservative Tea Party candidates -- and I have been working in precinct, county, and Texas wide campaigns for those and other Tea Party candidates.
Perhaps you noticed: We Tea Party conservatives kicked RINO butt in the July 31 Texas primaries. That is da*n sure NOT "surrender"!

My concern is, why would this not work in the next election whether or not we win?? If we were to win, and as I see it today, is still a very long shot, given what the Comrades will do, legally or otherwise, to keep this regime in power.. Obamacare will be implemented by President Romney. There will be a half hearted effort to repeal it. The House will vote to repeal. If the Dems control the Senate the Senate will vote against repeal, case closed. If the Republicans control the Senate, Harry Reid and the Dems will filibuster so the repeal will not pass. Knowing this, Romney can support repeal while campaigning knowing repeal will never happen.
With respect to SCOTUS, Romney consistently appointed moderate to liberal judges when governor of Massachusetts. He will appoint a moderate to liberal judge. He will have no stomach for a confirmation fight with Harry Reid and the mainstream press.
Free speech. George W. Bush gave us the Patriot act and he was supposed to be a “compassionate conservative”. Romney is no conservative. He is a crony capitalist and will play the establishment game. Envision more regulation of the internet. Expect moderate to liberal appointees to federal oversight agencies such as the FCC and FEC.
Romney will not be as bad as Obama in the same way thyroid cancer isn’t as bad as pancreatic cancer. Regardless of which one you have you still have cancer.
