The Paterno Family has to understand that JoePa is not part of the University anymore AND they have no say what Penn State accepts or not. Penn State accepted the punishment. “Nuff said.

Careful reading of the NCAA sanctions indicates State Pen gives up the right to appeal.

Contrary to all the pederast-enablers’ opinions, sanctions could have been much worse, and it’s certainly possible the NCAA knows more than has been publicly revealed. The NCAA is a CYA organization too.

Perhaps Paterno’s personal titles, statue, etc should be removed and future sanctions taken against the University.

However, the players are the ones who really earned the school titles. I'm sure they had no clue about this and don't deserve an asterisk on their records. It just pointlessly adds to the misery that Sandusky already caused.

I understand there are a number of young men who would like to appeal the enormous damage done to them when they were children - damage that Joe Paterno could have prevented. The Paternos might want to consider them, consider the fact that Joe Paterno might be facing a perjury indictment in connection with that issue if he were alive, and give it a rest.

Penn State's last best shot at redemption was squandered when they retained Spanier as a prof. He wasn't fired; he was merely demoted.
